Anyway. Benteke. What do we do with him?

I'm guessing that's sarcasm, but he did nothing wrong today for his first game of football in 6 months, was decent.

 

I'd say he was thinking about the guy in the shiniest white shirt at the end

 

Listening to Klopp sometimes is like listening to Kenny - English is the second language for both of them.

 

Send DVD's of him playing against us to a few clubs and say look what he can do and we may get £20m back

I think on a firmer pitch the lads wouldn't have tired as quickly so it could be interesting back at Anfield

Before we even bought Benteke everyone whinges we're **** at corners and **** at free kicks

But if it's aimed at Benteke it's ok when it's **** because it's his fault instead

 

Well that was ****e.

Not impressed really.

Exceptions were Smith who played okay and that Ojo bloke has potential.

First half we showed some good skill and movement - particularly Texeira.

Second half we didn't turn up really.

Our midfield was non existent and our defence shaky.

One thing though - they must learn to ****ing pass properly and keep hold of the ball.

My word how many passes went off the pitch?

At times in that second half if was pro vs semi-pro.

We managed to scrape that goal though which is at least a positive.

In this day and age these players - a lot of whom aren't actually that young, must take their chances and most of them did not tonight and will be gone in 2-3 years.

Thought it was encouraging - wouldn't say it was amazing but it was solid for most parts. He'll get better.

 

I can forgive him for being absolutely knackered on the hour for lack of game time but he was far from decent imo, out of position and bullied on numerous occasions by 4th tier attackers...

 

I think the passing and control was always going to be difficult given the state of the pitch.

 

Make him the number one scapegoat for the reminder of his Liverpool career whether he actually plays well, poor or at all.

 

Well we need CB's and he's big and tall, doesn't have to run as much and made some good clearing headers tonight. He's at the wrong end of the pitch.

 

Another thing.

We totally did not help ourselves with Benteke.

The guy who is strong, good in the air, and thus thrives off of decent, quick delivery.

What did we do? Fart about with too many 1-2's and not getting the ball in quickly and accurately.

Again highlights the problem we have of him fitting in our philosophy.

 

Nah, how about we criticise him when he plays poorly and praise when he plays well? I.e he plays poorly every week so we shall criticise him every week.
