for me it is not about that right now, Coleman is a cracking player, his career will be different now, it isnt just the physical aspect in danger. Will he be able to go in for a ball again now this has happened without any doubt.
Wish him all the best, he will get the best care money can buy so he has an advantage there, lets hope he gets back to full speed.

Also he'll be coming back as a 29 year old which isn't ancient but neither is it young for an attacking FB with a serious injury

Which is why he needs the book thrown at him

Like that guy who punched someone for talking to his girlfriend and he died

Any intentional attempt to attack should be treated an attempt to ruin someone's life, which is the only way to make the attacker think twice
I really dont know, totally get what you are saying but its very dificult, take the stamp by mings the other week, very difficult to see intent or not. Liklihood is yes it was intentional.
When i play, i think you can tell by reaction. If we start juding intent on reaction though, cheats will learn how to 'react'. Maybe leave the decision to the injured player, you tend to know when u have been done or not.
What happens when you seriously injure a player but clearly didnt mean to. Very difficult topic imho.

Much simpler for international games though, which is a privilege rather than playing for a club which is complicated as being a job which supports your family.

Chris Coleman should have kept his mouth shut until he saw the replay, then announced he would never select Taylor again. Instead he's disgraced his team and nation by defending Taylor, so FIFA should step in and ban him for life IMO.

The Mings stamp has enough [HASHTAG]#legit[/HASHTAG] doubt to not throw the book at him, but this attack was clearly like the Zlatan one, a blatant retaliation for what had happened seconds before with no [HASHTAG]#legit[/HASHTAG] doubt about it being intentional.

Not gonna bring Utd into this, never miss an opp do you <laugh>

See what your saying, not sure i agree that there is a difference between internationals and league as one job, but get what your saying.

Agree Coleman should have waited but he only did what most managers would have done - rightly or wrongly (remember Houllier 'deflecting'/lying about Fowler's celebration).

Not sure it shames the nation. As said above just hope Coleman comes through it. Terrible injury.

Another thing, the Irish FA will now be paying Coleman's wages for 1+ year, which is about £4m

That bill should be forwarded to Wales

Id disagree.

Milner - moreno
Matip - Lucas
Mane - Woodburn

Its a nice thought but if we were playing a CL final v Barca id bite your hand off if you said could play them without MSN. You're not going to look back and go year I didn't enjoy celebrating that CL win because Barca were missing 3 players. You'll just be ecstatic that witness and celebrated the win.

Don't care how you stick an angle on it mate. A injured player isn't something you should take pleasure from. End of argument.

you cannot be serious <doh>

Matip - Lovren or Klavan
Mane - Origi or Firmino or Coutinho

Milner - may be replaced with back 3.
it is not one for one replacement.

.

Agreed about the analogy but not so much about Taylor.

Mings was not looking at Zlatan. It was too close & twisted angle.
Mings didn't stamp on Zlatan anyway. More like a slight brush on Zlatan's pony tail without looking from an twisted acute angle.

Whereas - Zlatan saw Mings very well from 3 or 4 yards.
Premeditated and jumped into Mings & punched him with elbow - Crystal clear retaliation.

But bent FA gave more

Klavan is a worthy replacement and semi first team player.

Otherwise the high quality youth would push him out......:emoticon-0107-sweat

Would I be right in thinking Lucas is the only survivor?

As any sort of pro player?

It is 8 years after all so.....

Flanagan i think may have made reserves with rafa was there but would have been same age and sterling

Andre wisdom was certainly one to watch in youth teams at end of rafas reign

But as a signing only lucas remains for rafa era

Frankly of the dalglish era only henderson remains and thats 6 years.

Like.....

Look at utd right now.

De gea
Jones
Smalling
Valencia
Carrick
Lingard
Young
Rooney

The fact is bar de gea youve kept too much **** so you are out of cl spots again.

Lfc have ended up with lucas and it rrally shows. **** knows why klopp keeps him round frankly.

Lucas is personal assistant for Coutinho and Firmino, and occasionally fills in at CB
