Robertson is looking pretty solid and he's putting some good balls into the box.

 

I'd say this isn't looking fantastic but we haven't conceded yet so maybe it's actually impressive

It really is painful to watch out current midfield. There are no ball carriers just players happy to pass it 5 yards sideways no risk takers.

We really are missing Coutinho and Lallana. Put them in this game and the results are different

Only positive so far is Robertson is not Moreno

 

We can't count on our midfield to create anything - thank god we have Andy Robertson. He's out in some great crosses and he should have had 2 assists.

Why are Can and Salah not playing?

Are we that worried about hoffenheim so that we rest key players?

 

Hendo and Firminho are both muck. They have both given the ball away by either under hit passes or hammering a pass to a player 5ft from them. OK Firmino had one decent shot, but he is so slow and off the pace of the game. I would take him off and give Salah 45 minutes. Defence has been reasonably competent, but has not had that much to do really.

 

On the basis of one game putting them in the same breath is a massive disservice to Robertson ... he already looks three times the footballer Moreno is or will ever be

 

Basically one off from any of that midfield for Salah is the right call

 

Benteke would enjoy such service

 

Apart from shaking hands with the opposition captain and the officials and choosing heads or tails, what does Henderson contribute?, a worldie once every blue moon is no good from the team captain.

He spends too much time hanging around the centre circle and trying to make his every pass a Gerrardesque Hollywood one.

 

Please can we move Firmino back into the middle and Sturridge out wide. It's such a waste.

 

Yeah agreeing with everyone else on Robertson. He looks a steal at 8mill so far; solid enough (although hardly challenged yet) but a great left peg on him.

As expected, utter tripe from our midfield. Without Lallana and especially Coutinho, there's no productivity whatsoever apart from Henderson's speculative 'Alonso imitation' passes.

Still, not conceded yet!

 

Basically Salah for Studge and Can for Hendo. Late on you can try Solanke to maximize on Robertson's brilliant deliveries

 

I'd say move Firmino into midfield in place of Gini or Hendo, Sturridge up top, and bring on Salah.
