Anyone hear anything if its going to be available online? Its not on TV over here but there is a chance the mexican media will pick it up.

I'm pleased to see us playing a different kind of football so far. We're not very good at it yet, but that's what pre-season is for. Some players, especially Colback and De Jong so far, look like the system really suits them. Others are finding it harder. The defence is showing they struggle with fast tricky players, but I seriously doubt that back four will be the one that starts the season.

Sissoko was poor the first half. Goalie should have save that. De jong was the only player i thought looked up to par. Colback and janmaat okay.

Agree 100% with everything here. Be nice to see aarons and armstong here. Maybe Good too.

Well I am willing to take that as an encouraging start despite the defeat. You can already see the different style of football we're trying to play.I don't recall a single aimless long ball. even at the death. You could see the team adapting and improving as the game went on. I'd imagine that not only was the total number of passes much higher than last season's average, but that the pass completion percent was much higher too. As the game progressed we were creating more chances too.

The biggest weak point was Lascelles. SM will already know a bit about him though so we have to trust him to know if he thinks Lascelles will grow into the role or not. Even big Mike took on board the new style and was finding teammates with passes instead of hoofing the ball.

Looks like SM is being true to his word and really giving everyone a clean slate and giving them the chance to show what they can do. Hopefully he is learninga lot about what he needs and which players are not good enough for the system. It could well be that he sees a few we have written off as fitting into the system, so hopefully we can give the players a cleans slate too.

I thought Lascelles really settled in after that early pen that he gave away. He's a giant out there coming up to win the long balls. What I loved was that we played some great stuff on the ground. However, you can tell that some players are just not good enough to play in that style. You can tell De Jong is a class player, the issue is getting him the ball in space.

My thoughts from last night:
1. We need a pacey winger on at all times to make space for the AM/CF
2. Williamson is league 2 caliber
3. Armstrong will contribute this season (looked very tidy on the ball)
4. Fergy deserves a shot at LB.
