We’re too reliant on Trent to create. Without him, we then expect the front 3 to create something out of nothing. The midfield specialises in keeping things tight but there are time’s that we need to create from central areas. It’s the last piece of the puzzle for this team.

I think if Trent played, we would have had more joy. Williams had opportunities but I think Trent could have exploited it. He’s our best playmarker. I just mentioned in another post, we have two ways of scoring goals - fullbacks crossing or front 3 creating out of nothing.
Completely agree with this, we need to move on from keita, ox can do a job, but we are lacking that dare I say it coutinho type player.

disagree mate. He’s been **** he’s come back from injury but he was pivotal before that. Still a class player who still needs to recover from injury (hopefully sooner rather than later).
Teams know how to deal with it, they may not be able to do it all the time, but we cant go into next season playing the same way and expect to kick on.
We're not beating Athletico on this form, they are exactly the team that we don't need at the moment. Get three points on the weekend is a must.
Completely agree and some here have been saying this for a while, even through our amazing run. Our midfield is still fundamentally poor. They do the job the team needs, covering the fullbacks and pressing hard, but if there's nothing coming from the flanks, there's **** all going to happen baring a spark of brilliance from the forward three. This is a game where Ox would have been useful, or even Keita although he's not impressed so far, but none of the others offer that forward drive or creativity. Klopp needs a serious rethink before the Madrid game else we're not breaking them down at all.
This would be true if we don't achieve results to the end of the season. Many teams have trued and qfailed and I think you are being clouded by the recent results bias. It happens every time we lose some games.
