Haven't read back through the thread, but have people seen Gerrard's record at Stamford Bridge? It's pitiful! No hope of a win today if he plays, Mourinho gets the better of him every time.

Yeah If Stevie starts (And as Rodgers is a sentimental knob, we know he will) we're done for before the first whistle blows.

Hope I'm wrong.

Migs, Can, Lovren, Skrtel, Johnson, Gerrard, Hendo, Lallana, Sterling, Couthino, Lambert.

Well, that's us ****ed then.

Sinclair on the bench, nice to see.

4 at the back? Can Skrtel Lovren Johnson?

3 years since Rodgers took over, and over £200m spent - we're starting with the likes of Johnson, Skrtel, Lovren, Gerrard, Lallana and Lambert.

It's line ups like this which make me think Rodgers is not the right man - consistently going back to the old guard.

Playing Gerrard, Lambert and Johnson - all 3 most likely to be elsewhere next season.

Playing Sterling in every position bar the one where he excelled last season in order to accomodate lesser players.

Playing Can as a fullback.

Playing 4-2-3-1 which worked so well earlier this season.

Playing Gerrard in a 2 man midfield which has never worked.

We should be ok. I think Chelsea will be in celebratory mode. They'll be posing and showing how good they are (hopefully). This is the best opportunity we could have to beat them. I wouldn't have fancied our chances if they needed something to win the title.

Come on you reds!!!

Brendan Rodgers has named an unchanged line-up for Liverpool's Barclays Premier League clash with Chelsea this afternoon, with Academy starlet Jerome Sinclair included amongst the substitutes.
The manager names an identical starting XI to the one that overcame Queens Park Rangers last weekend, with Steven Gerrard skippering the team for his final meeting with the Blues.
Rickie Lambert will once again lead the line for the Stamford Bridge clash against Jose Mourinho's outfit, who clinched the league title with victory over Crystal Palace in their last fixture.
Sinclair, meanwhile, has not featured in the first-team squad since making his debut as a substitute in the League Cup victory over West Bromwich Albion in September 2012.
Liverpool's XI: Mignolet, Johnson, Lovren, Skrtel, Can, Gerrard, Coutinho, Henderson, Lallana, Sterling, Lambert.
Substitutes: Ward, Toure, Moreno, Lucas, Allen, Ibe, Sinclair.

Unfortunately, even if we do win it'll all be in vain (other than pretty much guaranteeing 5th place).

At least if we secure 5th would be good chance to play players like Ibe, Sinclair, Rossiter, Yesil, Wilson, Canos, Trickett-Smith who have all been very good in the Under21s

You mean an unchanged line up after winning our last game and with Sturridge, Sakho, Flanagan, Balotelli injured and Lucas just back?

Yeah. It's dead mental isn't it?
