Match Day Thread Vs Bournemouth (H)

Guys,

It was about a year ago when I first shared with you all a new format for digitally capturing matchdays - called an Imprint.

I'm pleased to say that after a lot of work we now have a meeting booked with LFC management where we will get to present the concept. Ahead of that meeting, if you don't mind, I'd like to get some feedback to the Imprint of the game on Saturday, which can be found here: https://www.amondo.com/liverpool-v-bournemouth-190209

We will also be doing an Imprint of the Bayern game ahead of the meeting. Would love to get some feedback (again) from you all as proper Redmen, so that I can take it into the meeting. What you like, what is missing etc, bearing in mind that working with LFC we're hopeful we would get access to a lot of additonal LFCTV content etc. For example, would you like the stuff from Redmen TV and The Anfield Wrap featured?

Couple of suggestions;
-handling of character codes e.g. '&' in Milner's tweet comes up as &
-a couple of images are repeated, the same image from different instagram accounts, can filter duplicates? (not exactly the same, slightly different cropping so would need some recognition)
-could you use the #LIVBOU hashtag to search match posts and make a panel with a wordcloud of topics e.g. "Lob Backheel Taylor Manc"

Well now that we have Fab Keita Gini and Milner in midfield, let’s hope Hendo is still out injured.

 

Its obvious that from the team that started v bournemouth only need taa and gomez back in.

The starting 11 should only be rotated in game from now til may as much as humanly possible.

If we do go deep into CL we should only think about rotating in home games.

 

Agreed. Could argue Ox comes into that first team as well.

However, as good as the midfield were, Bournemouth are the most compliant team for our style. It couldn’t have been easier. I want to see the same midfield 3 against tougher opposition

 

yeah! what about the small problem of who the captain is?

going to tell me when fully fit hendo wont be playing?

no i don't agree he should, but how can you not play your captain when he is fit, why i have always argued someone else should be captain.

 

Klopp won't play him just because he's captain.
If it really is such a dilemma (and I don't think it is) then he'll just have to have a quiet word and move the armband on.

 

i was under the impression every time he has come back fit he was put straight back in, maybe wrong. yes i know he was a sub for bournemouth game but was that because he wasn't fully fit like taa?

Yes. Just cos someone’s captain doesn’t mean they play. VVD will be captain at some point anyway you’d imagine. Plus it’s just an armband, they don’t actually do anything on the pitch bar call heads or tails

 

But my point was everytime he has been fit he has been brought straight back in and played and captained.

You dispel that theory?

I dont think he should play just because he is captain and think it should be given to others but its not happened has it.

 

I don’t think he’s come back in right away? But if he has it’s probably because of lack of options. Keita has been injured a lot and last year we only really had Gini hendo Milner can as options

I can't see ox being ready for what we need this season. He might come to bench and get minutes but to start is a big ask.

I would agree on midfield. Kits no big deal with fabinho and wijnaludm as we know whats what. Ketia needs to build upon that. He deffo won't start at old trafford.

 

What we can say is henderson has sat on bench quite a few times this season as "fit"

I only need point you to this resource:

in the first 9 games he only started 4 or 5 of them as he was in rotation with windy. YOu might say world cup perhaps but for me it was interesting as he was fit. if you look at the details stats of all his minutes theres quite a few times he was sub on.. granted that recently he was in for the full 90.

26 games played. in squad for 22, started 13, subbed on in 8, once not subbed in missed 3 for injury and 1 for suspension.

that tells me that henderson has been used in rotation but he's been in when the others have not been available or used elsewhere. (windy and milner and fabinho have all played other positions or had injuries too.

So in short the captain thing didn't bear out early in season. He was sub.

 

CBA to prove it but that's not true mate. Hendo as been relegated to the bench a fair few times this which suggests he's fit, just not selected.
