It might work at rangers but it is not working in this prem. Guardiloa would eat that for breakfast (but he will be gone by end of next season imo.) Emre is really impressive. I think he'd knock gerrard for 6. Pochettino would mop it up in a dour organised way (and at utd <yuk> ) my point is in terms of tactical ability and preparedness theres huge questions on gerrard. Management has so many facets. Picking the right player (not just manager but he should have final say) Motivation bringing players along, conflict management Preparation, fitness, diet, scientific management of the players. Tactics Style of play encouraged Ruthlessness Klopp has shown all of these along the way to bring us from midtable effectively. The trick though it must be said is quality of players and making right calls Alisson VVD Salah Klopps backed gomez from the start Kieta Frimino mane Bringing TAA through.... giving robertson a chance based on scouts recommendation... ox.. milner.. theres no player we can point to where klopps sold them and they've been ace after (players wanted to go fair enough) no player we've made a terrible buy on, an evolution of play and an attempt at fostering a culture within the club.
Klopp's already called his retirement. He's given us all the clarity. Its down to LFC to build the structures around what he is doing to be a truly successful club with winning mentality. (thats not michael edwards)
Hoff manager is going to RB next yesr which seemed a strange move. As you say Klopps done 8 years previously so hopefully have a good few more years left yet. By then who knows what managers will be like
I agree. We need to kidnap his budgie or something to make him stay. If he can keep us at a consistently high level for another half-dozen years then the confidence will become established throughout the whole club and maintaining it after he's gone might be a little easier. As long as it's not like Utd after Fergie.
He is never staying for life but he's committed to his contract. We've another 5 years to be ready for his dynasty. Its about organisation and structure not about replacing the lot all at once. the trick is that his team is now set and all on contracts out to them. Alisson Taa gomez VVD robertson? Kieta fabinho ox mane firmino salah Theres not many not on a big long deal now.
Best performance of the season so far, in my opinion. There's still a lot more to come. Could end up frighteningly good
personally think he is as bent as they come just does the "cheeky chappie" persona to hide behind though he did provide one great moment
Don’t blame him after that performance Not gonna pre judge him As I said Happy to give him shot if he has earned it
that depends..... You might saythat about any child in school. the dim one who fails all the exams and the bright one who aces them all. Only the results at the end really tell us. He's basically pulled a mourinho this weekend on his players. threw them under a big blue bus.
He has 3 1/2 years left according to his own words today when talking about Napoli. ‘I have 3 1/2 years left on my contract so I am not sure if anybody wants me after that’ interesting, seems to suggests that won’t be retiring, would he be willing to stay if the circumstances are right beyond his deal or doesn’t want to stagnate at one club too long?
ta, i needed to check again but didn't get a chance. For me I'd not read much into that. He's already said his bit when he signed up. He's on record about how long he wants to manage as well. https://www.skysports.com/football/...en-klopp-opens-up-on-his-plans-for-the-future "It's possible that I will end my career a lot earlier than coaches usually do," Klopp told Sky in Germany. "It's very intense. "I don't want to die on the coaching bench. After Liverpool I will for sure do a one-year break. That's a clear agreement with my family." Klopp intends to remain with Liverpool for the remainder of his contract and admits it would be difficult for a club even the size of Bayern to prise him away from Anfield. "I've never had an exit clause in one of my contracts," he said. "If Bayern had really been interested, no matter what I would have done, this would have been a complicated move. "I have a contract for four more years in Liverpool and the club are happy with me. That's why it makes total sense that they (Bayern) didn't try." Bayern Munich won their sixth successive Bundesliga title earlier this month, and Klopp insists he has no desire to challenge their dominance with his former club Dortmund, who he guided to successive league titles in 2010-11 and 2011-12. "I don't really want to come back. That time was too good," said Klopp. "I won't work as a coach with the age of (Bayern Munich head coach) Jupp Heynckes. I admire what he is doing but I won't do that. "I had a fantastic time in Mainz and Dortmund. Most likely I will go back there - but not necessarily as a coach." You can read that pretty clearly. he's said the bayern lad who was 73 won't be him. He is 51 now. Call it 9 or 10 more years say. That gives him this contract and then a year off and then wherever he might decide to go for another spell.... who knows maybe gemran national team.. or maybe not. he may even end coaching and go into technical director role.... again who knows. but he's ours for 3.5 years... please god they will be great ones.
you would think so but these days.... even with the bodged test results it will still show the thick one is thick. If you are happy with the thick lad in class doing your heart surgery for example fair enough.. Me i want the best lad for it.
I see Alisson is Garth's keeper pick for his TOTW. Hardly surprising after the string of spectacular saves he had to make to keep us in the game on Saturday.
