He lost possession so often it was embarassing. I can't remember any good long-range efforts either. He improved a bit when he was pushed further up the pitch for the last half hour or so.
Neil Lennon not happy with the penalty Probably mind games because of the red card but good to tell the truth anyway
Is that what he said? Fair play to him. The first yellow was 50/50 sometimes you get them sometimes you don't but his stuf was showing so can see why it was given. Problem is, when you're on a yellow you don't dive in like he did for the 2nd, deserved a straight red just for the brainlessness of it
Poor pasing too, poor shooting, greedy and shortsighted. He almost cost us, Can spends a few mins up there and has a good effort barely saved and put Sterling through
Allen did make a couple of interceptions in the box, but was unable to have any real positive influence of the game.
Thought we played well for the most of that. Certainly never deserved to lose and on another day we could have strolled it, but we didn't have the composure in front of goal. Thought we defended well too, Sakho played well, thought skirts did until that strike stitched him. Pleased. Not worth dwelling on this performance other than we did well to stick in there and it will help with the belief in the team.
The stud was up and it was late and quick. On another day it may not have been given, but I don't think you can complain about it either. Danns used to be a Colchester player, played against Chelsea in the cup a few years ago.
Lennon not complainng about Stering being fouled by the last defender, or the offsides, he's only saying that about the pen cos he wants to say that about the first yellow, how can he blame the ref for being fooled by his own diving player??
Alright mate thanks, you? ****ed my ankle playinf football and have has crutches which isn't fun. Work very busy hence ive not been on much. Even been trying to catch up on my weekends. Paid on a day rate mind
Agree with this. They didn't have many chances, and I think the confidence and improving mental strength of the team (one of our biggest weakenesses in recent years) was on view.
Showed up the #bbcsalford morons who all continued to defend the penalty being given though, and that's the main thing
Hope you mend up soon matey, at least the youngones are safe for a while I'm off to Norway tomorrow, then to Ireland after that, not been home in 2 years. Looking forward to a real pint.
Onwards and upwards. Would have been quite negative in the press had we been out of two cups in two weeks. Now positive.
He did his in the bookies didn't he?! My foot is going black with bruising although I'm walking on it gingerly now. Did my ATFL ligament in a Carragher inspired block/stumble and fall.
