Oldsparkey The 30 minutes that i saw of Adeyemi was more than enough to see he will give us more of a presence in midfield than Gunnar who at times yesterday seemed to be marking thin air. Would like to see Daehli played in the 10 role but that then leaves no place for Whitts as no way can he play wide. Would really like to see us play a 3-5-2 to get the best out of Brayford and Fabio. Who to put in upfront is going to be the hardest part.
Ha ha ha OK when we have the resources available We have according to some rumours already got a new C/B signed and ready to unveil next week but until they are officially announced and holding the shirt i wont believe it.
Having watched him do absolutely nothing in midfield except cost us the 3 points I'm as sure as ever we can't play wits as a cm. The league is too fast for him. He can't play wide because he's sooooo slow. Probably until noone is back he's our most likely source of an assist and therefore goals. Only thing to do with him is stick him in a 10 free role just behind the striker(s). He can't damage us there with lack of work or pace, but he can use the best bits of his game to make a difference. If Daehli or anyone else can play that role and score/create more then drop him because he's not a midfielder in the modern game, it's just too quick for him. I thought our CB's were a big plus particularly Connely. Agree Adeyami should start next time and that La fondre isn't a winger. He did work his socks off though and was defensively superb in fairness to him. I'd start KWJ and Alf together but I think Ole likes Maynard and is going to try and play him back to what he was. If it works that would be a master stroke in fairness. I think we have the players for a 4-2–3-1. Same back 4. Adayemi Gunnar/eikrem/dika ALF Witts. Daehli KWJ
We cannot play Fabio and Daehli together on the left - both right footers. i did feel a bit sorry for for Fabio but Daehli can't play wide left - no pace, no left foot
