I think your being too critical of a young and inxperienced team. give them a chance to play and get up to speed

Now Arter comes steaming in from behind and wipes out Origi... no yellow card.

 

Glad to see further improvement in Firminho plus 1st time this season that Ibe has shown up and my view is that Origi is doing well.
Tex shows flashes but at his age should we be expecting more than just flashes ?

 

Arter again comes through the back od Tex this time... not even a foul!

How he's not been booked is a mystery

 

That was a yellow card all day long. I hate games were the ref keeps his cards in his pocket because you know it will eventually get out of hand as players think they can get away with things

Ibe is hitting some form tonight, winning the ball back, jinking into the box. Origi should have done better with the header.

On the other hand/side Clyne has owned the entire pitch

 

For what we have on the pitch, not a bad performance.

Randall looks green because he is.

Lovren is Lovren

Allen is Allen

Firmino shown more glimpses of who we hope he is.

Texiera shown more in this half than Couts or Lala have recently.

Ibe looks back up for it.

Origi good movement...would just love him to get one.

 

Ibe and Tex have done well so far, and Firmino playing some clever passes to unlock defenders.

Good to see Klopp go for his favoured 4231 instead of the 4321 he's used in past 3 games.

 

Would be happy if Tex is ahead of Allen in the first team. You can see the difference - tex is far more comfortable on the ball, invites opposition closer before turning and releasing the ball. So much courage on the ball. We need more players like that.

 

i'm not as depressed as some of the posters as i can see positives in Ibe ,Firm,Origi,Clyne and Tex (with reservations) and Bogdan !!
cebtral midfield doesn't exist though which is a serious worry plus yet another injury - have we recruited the Arsenal medical staff ?
