He wasn't solely responsible but making a stupid mistake just 4 mins into the game just ruins everything. The players ahead of him have zero confidence in him - he's now in the Karius territory as far as I'm concerned. No coming back for him.

Got the impression a lot of our players thought they just had to turn up and collect the 3 pts .

I posted that we weren’t at all at the races before they scored. You could see that we were well off the pace. Just weird tbh.

    Hopefully a blessing in disguise.

Humiliating defeat, worst performance I've seen under Klopp.

You’re right 7, was flattering, Barkley missed 2 sitters, Watkins should have scored from the one on one and was really unlucky with the one that hit the bar. Probably should have been double figures tbh.

The last time I saw a game like that was watching my sons under 15 team get tanked 12-3

You’ll either get to really enjoy your next game or wish we hadn’t had a kick up the arse like that. I’m just not sure which right now <laugh>

Lets hope Henderson is available for the Derby as we have to bolster that side of the pitch .

And Mane. We really missed Mane. Jota was tidy but not a patch on Mane tbh.

I counted 9 myself, but couldn't agree more. 7 did not flatter them.

To be fair, we had a lot of joy down the left with Jota and Robbo. Agree that he's not Mane but he held his own.

Firmino on the other hand ...

They had a lot of chances once the game state was completely shattered and we just threw bodies forward, thus leaving space behind. Up until around 70 mins, Villa only had around 1.2 xG.

around 70 mins Villa had scored 6 real goals or in modern parlance 4.8 uxG .

That is true but half were deflections.

Point is - Villa's biggest clear cut chances came when we overloaded their half. Was expected that we would give up chances at that point

    I'll translate:

    We were sh*t but not 7-2 sh*t.

I'm not going the attempt to analyse that as I don't know what the **** I was watching. The whole thing from first to last was surreal. It still feels like a nightmare now. A living nightmare <yikes>

I have to disagree, ok Adrian's howler was a bad start but even before that we looked awful. Three deflections you could say is unlucky, I'd say barkelys was and that's it.

The score means little to me tbh it was the shocking performance all round from the start and which continued as the game went on that annoyed me, the reaction we've become accustomed to after going behind just wasn't there at any point in the match. It made it a very strange watch.

Only Jota and robbo looked at the races for me, everyone else was poor or worse.

Never seen Gomez have as bad a game as that last night, in fact that goes for the whole team under Klopp.

I'm a positive guy so, I'll take this as I'd rather get one ****ing hiding than lose a few closely and after such a hiding I would hope its the last time you see a performance like it, at least for a good while, take it as a kick up the arse and get back to the hard work and maximum effort 1st and foremst in the next game, do that and we should be all good.

But a big response in the next game is vital, need to send a message that villa was a freak.

They wanted us to play down the left. Trent and Salah is a much more dangerous prospect from the other side.
