I think if wed have got the first goal villa may have panicked. Lucky they got two fortuitous goals, after that you could see their nerves settled and it was all done and dusted.

You'll never see two goal like that so close together again.

 

Yeah to play like that at 16 is something special, hopefully he can keep his focus and become a top player.

Not really bothered about the Crapbo Cup. Just hope the kids don't lose confidence after the 5-0 tonight. Thought John Terry showed his decent side when he went into our dressing room and gave the kids a talk about being proud of their performance tonight. he probably ruined it a bit by asking for their mum's telephone numbers though.

 

They should be happy with the performance, 5 nil looks a drubbing but it wasnt one sided on the pitch. Some individual errors but mostly down to the team being put together by the age old method of picking numbers.

I dont think anyone apart from the boys who played will be that disappointed tbh, they showed a very good account of themselves all in all despite the scoreline, i really enjoyed seeing the team set up pretty much exactly as the 1st team is. Barca did this for years with thier kids teams and reaped the rewards brilliantly down the line.

We have some really talented young guys like jones hoever elliot who could break into the team sooner rather than later it can only be a good thing if the set up and style is the same throught the different age groups.

Its why now anyone coming to this club like minamino for example hes a player that fits klopss/our identity perfectly.

So rather than bringing in talented players who can dramatically improve us klopp now has the welcome problem of making sure anyone coming in can fit right in, on the pitch and off it and be willing to develop and improve.

Its great tbh.

Just thought the first one looked really weak and the second whilst deflected his feet seemed like they were tied together and he a time to move but just couldn’t

Play Elliot with Salah or Mane and half those through balls or flicks end up in the back of the net. Real quality in his passing at at 16. With such a daft haircut, he surely has a bit of an ego but hopefully the senior players like Hendo, Milner or VVD will keep him grounded and focused. Klopp certainly will.

Good performance. Only people who should feel embarrassed here are the FA and their ludicrous scheduling and inability to problem solve resulting in a mockery of their quarter final.
