    Just 3 or 4 first team players would have made a big difference here. The lads have done ok so far.....I expect them to concede more but our build up play has been surprisingly good.

    VdB certainly doesn’t help himself. Klopp just gave him a new deal....there must be something he sees in him. 4-0 now. This was always the risk to be fair.

    It was always going to be difficult for the young lads, but I do feel for the front 3 and the midfield looking good, but then keeping & defensive errors and your 4 nil down

    Bit of a waste of time this game really.

    EFL getting what they deserve with this match as they wouldn't rearranged a proper schedule. Its a no contest friendly game against a u18s team

    They are trying hard not going to criticise, we've been unlucky with some of the goals. Hope we come out with a **** it attitude and really go at them.

    Hoover looks good though, I dont think theres much between them age wise, but development wise he looks a fair bit ahead

    He does look good. VdB is what? 17? If Klopp rates him, I’m prepared to wait a while.

    Feel bad for the lads...impossible situation. Elliott and Hoever are stand out performers for us.

    The academy have done a great job fostering a tidy passing team and although it will finish with a cricket score, the kids should be proud of the performance.
