reverse jink you lot are getting very well... dull... the same old hashtags like you are all a bunch if astro acolytes. i prefer when someone comes up with something witty in return, far better for a bit of banter. I bet i can guess what hashtag would be posted on this one.
I never come on here during a game, and I've just briefly looked back at the comments in the first few minutes.
Only saw the 2nd half and was so dominant that it's hard to make a real judgement but I thought Gomez was solid. Did well up against Lacazette and was calm and composed on the ball, which set up the fourth with a little pass down the line to Firm rather than just smashing it long. Karius touched the vall about 3 times, two good punches. Gini was immense on and off the ball. Looked knackered in final 10 but was still running the channels and beating players / keeping the ball.
The fixture computer is #bentasfuck Man Utd's hand picked start is #standard But I just looked at ours and in our first 9 fixtures we only won 3 of them last season Clearly trying (and failing) to #derail our season with a poor start
The problem with Liverpool though, has never been against the top sides. Had you held on against Watford, you'd be level on points with Utd.
Just wanted to say well done and a thoroughly well deserved victory today. Can't see too many teams getting the better of you at Anfield this season, but we didn't half make it easy for you. As rapid and energetic as you were, the way we set-up was the worst way to play against a team like Liverpool who have so much speed and intelligent movement in the front 3. We were playing a 3-4-3 with two sluggish, indisciplined central midfielders and wing-backs who don't track back to support the centre-halves. Welbeck and Ozil were absolutely terrible and couldn't get a foothold in the game at all. The amount of times Holding was left isolated against Mane was unbelievable and we did nothing in that game to buck the trend, so it was inevitable what was going to happen. That was suicidal in footballing terms and Wenger did nothing to switch formation/change players until it was too late. Monreal kept getting caught flat-footed and Salah gave him the run around, though it didn't help that he had no support whatsoever from Chamberlain in tracking back. The less said about Bellerin, Xhaka and Ramsey, the better, as all three contributed to an absolutely deplorable display from a supposed 'top' side. All of whom should be ashamed of themselves more than the others. I was very impressed with Can, Moreno (quelle surprise), Firmino, Mane and Salah (as wasteful as he can be at times). Honestly, 4 goals didn't do you justice, it could have very easily been double that. That's 11 goals you've scored against us in the last 3 games and there's a common theme in the manner in how you've beaten us. Our tactical ineptitude and disorganisation remains and, with Mustafi wanting out, along with the decline of Koscielny, inexperience of Holding and aging Mertesacker, I can't see how things will improve. But for you guys, I reckon there will be a lot more scintilating football to come over the season which will be a joy to watch (apart from against us of course). I wish you all the best for the rest of the season.
Nice post mate ...........If we can sort our back line we will be a dangerous side, the addition of Salah has increased our goal threat even more
