Whoever it is he will have Astro's absolute, unswerving support until, and even after, the day he's sacked.

Can't help but feel that we're moving now because Cheslea may move soon and shed Mourhino (amazingly).....

I also can't see the so called 'transfer committee' working for Klopp either. Why would anyone join if their favoured targets are over-ruled??? As a manager, you live and die by your recruitment. Simple.

More than anything else, I really hope that we've something in place BEFORE we sacked BR.

Klopp never signed any player at Dortmund. He delegates that to his DOF and scouts.

It's common practice at most clubs in Europe.

To be fair, the committee get a lot of stick. Personally, I think they've done a good job. What they need is a manger who fully trusts them to go about their job and use the players they have picked.

The committee wasn't the problem - it was the conflict between them and the manager.

This squad is very talented IMO.

    Talent is a prerequisite, surely?

I think the committee (that included Rodgers) has done an awful job frankly. Seriously, which other club plays as many players out of position because they hadn't bought the right type of players? We've spent £300m ffs. I'd expect at least to have a stable strong 11 that can play how the coach wants to.

I know that we needed to add some depth to the squad some time back but I didn't expect us to greatly weaken the starting 11 to the point where we have to play Ings as a wing back! <laugh>

Who the f#ck thought that spending £32m on Benteke and nothing on wingers to supply him was a good idea? <laugh>

That said, get a decent coach in and a few top signings and we'll be ok.....but I've heard that before!!

Playing players out of position, and signing a striker who doesn't suit our style is down to the manager.

One potential hurdle for Klopp to overcome would be Liverpool's current use of a transfer committee, with Klopp used to making the final decision on players to be signed.

"In Dotmund, it's like three people who makes the decision; Klopp, Micheal Zorc and Hans-Joachim Watzke. However in the end it was Klopp who makes the final decision.

"I'm not quite sure if Klopp would like to work with director of sport to make the final decisions. He had a very strong personality, he wants to have the last word. This maybe a problem for Klopp if Liverpool handles it the way they have handled it in the years before."

What you see obviously aint what totem pole head and Fergie see, they've both given their blessing to the club to appoint him when the Dutch feller flies out to his island paradise with his Mrs at the end of next season.

Utd will end up like Salford City.<whistle>

  18. Former Reds captain Souness also believes Klopp would be a better fit than Ancelotti. "When you think about it logically, Ancelotti's last three jobs were Chelsea, PSG and Real Madrid," he said.

"They can go out and buy the best players in the world. They have more spending power that anyone else out there. So Klopp might be a better fit. At Dortmund, they continually lost their better players at the end of each season. So he might be a better fit, coming in and working with younger players."

I know most of don't want to hear about us losing our best players each season but I think that I a great point by Souness, we do lose our best players and will continue to do so until we are re-established.
