I agree that it is harsh on Harriott as he is the most exciting talent at the club, but the best team does not necessarily contain the best players. Look at the struggles of Lampard and Gerrard in the same England team - clearly the best 2 CMs in the country. I will take your word on the Wood / Cort question mark AHLL, although brace yourself for a torrent of abuse from me when (if) he makes a costly mistake!! I really rate Cort, and have no opinion of Woods as I havent seen anywhere near enough of him.
What would our most successful post war manager have done in this situation ? After two poor defeats and a lack of confidence, Curbs would have battened down the hatches and sent a side to Oakwell in a defensive 4-5-1 to nick a point. Powell is Son of a curbs, so don't be surprised to see this on Saturday.
I think that's pretty close to what's going to happen - the euphoria of last season's result there will be firmly put to one side and we'll be battening down the hatches, despite Barnsley having an even worse start than us. A 0-0 wouldn't surprise me at all.
Whoops I completely forgot about Harriott when naming that side (am a huge fan of his pace) - Would have him on the bench as an impact sub in place of Wilson
