I don't doubt that Feyenoord fans could be involved. They seem to have one of the most twattish of western European fanbases. And Rotterdam is only 30 miles away.
I've just been told to **** off 'dick' and be quiet in my box room rather than sharing this online, by someone at the game. Oh boy.
Where did I defend any one? You were just blaming the English Saints supporters for no reason. Were as I am blaming everyone involved.
I wasn't blaming solely the English people at all. I was just implying that thousands of Dutch came here with zero trouble, and yet we go over there and it kicks off. Stop looking for an argument
The irony is, that if I'd gone I had already planned not to go anywhere but the stadium. My reason for this is that I just don't trust large groups of drinking football fans. I've seen people scrap last season where I sit in St Mary's because of drink and it is pathetic. I've watched a lot of stuff posted about the drinking and partying, yet the only reason I wanted to go was to watch my team play football in Europe for the first time away rom home. I wanted my 14 year old lad to share that experience with me. I am glad I didn't get a ticket now, but also very, very sad. I suspect the only way that ca happen now is if I pay for corporate. I don't understand those of you who go to football and get pissed out of your heads. It makes no sense to me. I go for the football.
Exactly. A pint and a bite to eat before hand is just fine for me. I want to enjoy the game as much as possible and you can't do that if you drink too much. And that's not even starting on the behaviour issues drinking too much causes.
Standard of policing maybe? There is hardly any hooliganism in England anymore, but still loads abroad. Don't be naive.
Agreed. Have a few and have a nice time with mates and other supporters. But like you I don't get people that get smashed out their head. Even worse are the ones that go looking for trouble just to look 'hard'.
