Good to have you visit cartoonhead.

A bit of an enigma is our Mr Tan. Probably bonkers all round, positive in some regards as per your link, negative in others.

anyone with money can do that. its like you giving a shilling to a tramp on the street, its no big deal with the money he got ....

But you notice how many people with money don't do things like this. Pretty dumb comment aimed at deflecting away from somebody actually helping people.

what, like tossing coins in the bucket when the swans went broke?

Is Jenkins going to dip in the coffers and reimburse those the swans ripped off? Tan actually made a gesture when he had no legal or moral obligation to do so. If you've got nothing positive to say, say nothing.

Anyone CAN do it, not everyone actually DOES it! Well done to Tan (despite his other faults).

keeping in tune with your theme bfb, im sure this thunderstorm brought with it a similar egg2morks and out popped dai for our entertainment

Sorry Dai but have to disagree; VT did a good and honourable thing - he didn't have to but he did! I find it quite perverse that someone would criticise him for that.

And of course 'anyone with money can do that', but so many don't - think we should be criticising them instead of Mr Tan!

Tan may not be everyone's cup of tea but I believe that you judge a man by his actions and in this case his actions have been worthy of praise, not scorn!

Also it looks like he's not just throwing money at it but personally driving these initiatives to help the people in need.
