Sadly I don't think this is true at all. Recent history suggests that religion is still alive and kicking and killing people and may actually be growing again as a political force. (Although not in the UK.)
There are reports that church attendance, across several denominations is growing in the UK. In times of ****e (foodbanks, 13 million people paying for christmas on credit) faith seems to return.
That will be all these Mosques I have been hearing about getting filled up then, not that I want to open up a can of worms you understand
Don't believe this for a second. The guys rich beyond our comprehension and he probably didn't get so by being superstitious. Something else put out to discredit the guy I'd have thought. I wonder who Malky's PR company are...someone was filtering every detail through the press last week - I can't imagine that were Tan or Cardiff. Think Malky has been very clever about all this...
I don't see what Malky has to gain from it. I believe from what I've read he hasn't been given any compensation after being sacked, but you'd expect if/when that gets to court it's practically a sure bet that they'll award him what he's owed. But stuff like this could be argued as defamation of character and damage his case. (I'm speculating, I'm not a lawyer!!). He's out of the club so whilst it makes it look like he put up with more crazy than we all realised, perhaps increasing his reputation slightly, it's not a significant benefit to him I'd imagine. On the other hand, making Tan out to be mad as a box of frogs is probably beneficial to other teams in the relegation battle. Anything that puts off decent managers increases the chances of clubs like ourselves surviving. I also suspect a lot of the less well paid employees at Cardiff are pretty disgruntled, and selling the details to the press is probably pretty attractive to them.
Cardiff have certainly got an interesting month ahead.Their fixtures:Arsenal,West Ham,ManU,ManC.Best of luck with those.
As Tan is so keen on the number 8 because he thinks it's lucky, perhaps he'll lose 8-0 on the 18th Jan (away to Man City), be reduced to 8 players on the pitch and have all the cardiff fans really 8 him! Just glad we got Hooper before he did (as Hooper wore the number 88 shirt when he played for Celtic)
ooh, with such research skills I foresee a move to Cardiff and a new career as either a director of football or head scout. Congrats.
Maybe I should post it on the Cardiff board, something tells me they wouldn't appreciate it though...
Just remembered, didn't Raymond Domenech pick a France WC squad based on star signs? Someone that superstitious would be the perfect manager for Tan.
8 is considered lucky in China and Asia where as 4 is considered very unlucky as it sounds like the word for death.
