i think AVB learned alot in a short space of time at Chelsea....and i dont understand why everything about AVB is being based on his stay there and his stint in Portugal being totally overlooked as an indicator of his ability. and he is also being judged on his off field behaviour/tactics which is fair enough but by that same standing...Redknapp is unemployable in the future. too young my arse...yet everyone looks for a young assistant..continuity...long term plans etc etc.......and why is AVB ok to try out a giant like Inter but not Spurs Ammaar? baffles me all this rubbish yet every single one of us was wetting themselves when AVB became available because we all thought here is a man who brought fresh ideas to the game etc etc...yet a bunch of kunts at chelsea have managed to change everyone's perception..no wonder footballers are arseholes..the fans always side with them. well i wont and im happy to die by the sword..the guy has shown as much as all the others we are touted for.......so im not going to condemn him anymore than i condemn the other candidates...infact anyone who rips Chelsea off for 32 million in 6 months..is my friend and his reputation is ok in the rest of Europe..i think they realise it is not easy working for a power hungry man who goes back on his word because he can..and does not back up his manager even though his manager is carrying out his orders.....so many cliches flying around......foreigners fail etc etc.........loyalty goes along way..and everyone at a club must sing from the same hymn sheet or there will be problems...ask Mancini..or Wenger or Levy.
that's upsetting. he might be a guy with a great record and lots of experience, but the thought of capello's style of football being introduced at WHL is my biggest fear. I couldn't give a **** if we don't win anything for 5 years, but "to dare is to do" might as well be no more, should we sign him. over a 38 game+ season, the least I want from spurs is our brand of football. it's why i started following spurs in the first place.
It's really not. I can't see Levy hiring Capello for one second and I doubt we'd have any lengthy discussions with him.
he plays the same formation i do with spurs on Fifa and fm, and that works a treat. so lets sign him.
fair enough Ammaar..but i think the atmosphere at Spurs will be closer to Porto than Chelsea.....and people at our club will back their man not put him in the front line to take all the bullets...this psychology you talk about that took a battering at Chelsea will be healed with a good club like Spurs. Moyes is a safe bet but i dont think Levy wants to play it safe...he knows if he plays it safe then we can never challenge....
the problem we have at Spurs, which might not be taken into account by Chelsea fans is that if we "let" him go to Inter to prove himself the likelihood is we won't be able to afford him after he has. We certainly couldn't afford what Chelsea were paying him so i can only assume he's on the cheap at the moment thanks to our blue friends.
http://www.eplindex.com/15759/andre..._campaign=andre-villas-boas-tottenham-hotspur a great read and some of the reasons/theories why the appointment of AVB excites me.
Hey cut this out guys, all this applauding of Ammaar we can't have the most popular poster on the Spurs site an Arsenal fan. It's a dastardly plot! He's talking bollocks......tell him!
That sounds about right. I remember being down the pub (in Sheffield, weirdly - turns out there's a lot of Spurs fans up there) and people were talking of taking pictures of the league table on Ceefax and MOTD.
It's ok Spurf, they'll be abandoning the Arsenal board altogether at this rate, so he'll need somewhere to go. He can be our Gooner equivalent of Lidls. No offence...
no clout? what clout did Harry have? apart from when we had 3 great victories in a week to get us CL for the first time..apart from that any match that would show some clout/bottle/nous etc etc..we failed!
He was forced to stay by Levy, regardless of what he may claim. If the chairman turns down any bids for a player and he's tied to a long contract, what else could he do? Bar going on strike, which would open up an entirely separate can of worms, he had to stay and play. His performances were of a decent standard though, after the transfer window had shut. Redknapp can take credit for that, barring the period of England speculation where he played the Croatian out of position.
The below is from The Guardian Just confirms to me what an arrogant ***t this man is, I was a Harry fan but I could see why he had to go, I really dont know who I'd like as the next manager, but if below is true then one I dont want is AVB
