It all started to go wrong for him at Chelsea when he had a run-in with Frank-the-W**k and didn't play him. There were arguments behind the scenes with our favourite player (and Frank's friend), JT, at the centre of it all. They didn't like the way AVB wanted to play and so just didn't bother.

(Funny how a similar thing happened to the England team in South Africa. Frank-the-W**k is dropped by Capello and so JT and a few of his mates put in some dire performances.)

AVB won't have such a problem at Spuds as there aren't so many players there who think that they are better/know better than the manager and also have the influence to mess up the rest of the team.

With the squad he had he achieved about par and if anything this year he should have got third.

Not sure I follow this either. Tony Carr set up West Ham youth academy in the 70's and that was nothing to do with Harry. Southampton have a good set up but Harry was there for a year after jumping ship from Pompey. He then did a runner from Southampton to go back to Pompey after a year. I see no signs of him being good for the long term and certainly in no way the best there is. He was at West Ham a long time and dont really see what he achieved there.

Very risky move for AVB. The press will be waiting for the smallest slip up and 4th or higher will be hard to achieve next year

He's not the messiah hes just a nerdy 12 year old in a mac

It will only work if he's given the time to put the plan in place, Chelsea were ridiculous paying 14 mill comp to hire him to rip it all up and start again, and then backing the aged players over him.

What makes you think he'll get more time with the Spuds?? Modern football demands instant results.

From what I've heard, he's being hired to put a long term plan in place, & Levy is more astute than the Russian.

With a Russian billionaire owner prepared to pay up to £50 million for just one player, it's amazing how lucky a team can get - or may be it isn't.

Heard a spuds fan on Talksport last week saying that a Russian or Middle East Squillionaire is about to invest in them. And that there are more revelations about Harry Redknapp about to hit the press. Anyway AVB will be sacked by Xmas!!

What we should do is ask some of the Chelsea fans what they think? that may help us to understand the reason for `Harry ` given the boot!

I think he'll do well. He has a project at Spurs, something which was not possible at Chelsea with the time he was given and the players he inherited. Spurs will suit him better and if he gets them going they will be great I reckon.

@robshepherd5 can't put my finger on why I like him. I just do. Think he had a tough job at CFC. THFC is an easier job but think he'll do ok
