Thought I was on my own in my dislike of villa on here! Can’t stand them. Their fans are a lot like some of yours with their self righteous sense of entitlement!
Doesn't every set of fans think others are entitled? Villa are the only set of fans I actively dislike in the country, I actually don't mind the club itself. I'm sure they'll be fine in years to come but yeah this sort of thing needs to be regulated. It wont be though.
Not reallly. Some (not all btw) of your lot are horrendous. I have never felt entitled to anything other than derby wins () Villa are far worse with their sense of entitlement. Both sets of fans up here deserve teams in that top echelon of the premier league. I doubt you’d find many better fans in the country. Very few who could attract almost 30000 average after the 2 seasons of dross we’ve watched (and, as stated in the chronicle yesterday, the worst home form in the country over the last 10 seasons). We’ve sold 19000 season cards so far! Not bad for a third division team!! Can’t stand villa fans. Second only to West Ham for my dislike
Marcus you just said our fans aren't entitled before saying we deserve to be in the top part of the premier league. Our fan base don't always show up, the loyal ones do and they're great but a lot don't. We're famous for leaving the ground early. We get on our players and managers backs. Not too long ago a players mother was racially abused by our fans. We have some good fans. Like every one. We have some bad fans. Like every one. We deserve to be where we are. That's our entitlement.
That’s not how I meant it disco. We don’t feel that entitlement in ourselves but, as fans, us and Newcastle are 2 of the best sets in the world. Both sets of fans deserve better than what they get. Man City won the league breaking record after record. There were loads of empty seats for almost every game that wasn’t a “big 6” We will get 40000 in the third division if we’re sitting top of the league. I basically mean to have the following us and Newcastle do after years of abject failure, that deserves more than we get. We have got exactly what we’re entitled to right now after years of mis management. But the fans don’t deserve that (hope you understand my point, didn’t mean to be so contradictory)
What you're describing sounds a lot like entitlement. You've based it on facts that make our fans sound the best in the world but most clubs do that. Stoke have the loudest fans, they deserve better. Polish fans are willing to smash the **** out of anyone who crosses their path, they deserve better. Milan are historically one of the biggest and most successful clubs in the world, they deserve better. Accrington Stanley have fans who've been showing up their entire life and never seen a hint of success, they deserve better. United have the most fans around the world, they deserve better. West Ham fans somehow take credit for the 66 world cup, they deserve better. I don't think there's anything wrong with feeling entitled to better really. I'm not having a go. Just trying to show we're perceived exactlt the same as everyone else. Its natural and absolutelty everyone wants better than their station. Any fan who shows loyalty and pays their money deserves to get something back.
I work in a bank here in China. The bank's branch in another province did the Villa purchase deal for Dr. Xia's company. It's true that inward and outward cash flows are controled to some extent in China. £6m per month running costs are simply way too high and unsustainable. It is such a big gamble to run a club that way. Villa fans must be in meltdown at the moment.
