I would expect a much improved performance today - even if not a result. We finally have three mobile forwards in our front three. That alone should create space and passing choices for the midfielders too, never mind the individual brilliance of Firmino, Coutinho and Sturridge. I just pray all three get through the game without injury and we can build a little.
Trying to work out how we're set up.. Milner looks like he's playing right midfield in a more traditional 442 position, but it's not 442 as Cout/Firm/Sturridge are a front 3 moving around. Seems to be leaving us short in the midfield against Villa's 3.
Sturridge.. 1 chance form a cross, 1 goal. Benteke... take note mate. That's what you should be doing!
Get In!..... Look! Good cross from wide and a striker inside the box to head it in the net. Who would have thought such a thing was possible!!!
He would have been standing next to Coutinho on the edge of the box. Sturridge showing where strikers should be and gets the goal. Lovely cross too.
very sloppy touch cou, can't afford that with our dire midfield/defence thankfully it didn't come to anything that time
