What a great result for Bradford, well deserved and just goes to show that with the right application anything is possible.

I can't understand why he left Norwich for Villa anyway. Villa's future was there for everyone to see. They're buggered and are a sinking Ship.

Am I right in thinking that Bradford will be guaranteed European football next season if Chelsea win tonight (assuming Chelsea secure a top 4 premier league spot)? Or is it only if Bradford win the cup?

If Chelsea go through it'll go to seventh in the Prem. Bradford have to win it, to get in Europe.

Have they changed the qualification rules? Millwall went into Europe after being beaten by Man Utd in the FA Cup final (or are the FA Cup rules different?)

The FA Cup and League Cup have different rules for qualification:

There are three places in the UEFA Europa League available: the FA Cup winners will enter at the Group Stage; the fifth place team in the Barclays Premier League will enter at the Play-Off stage; and the Football League Cup winners will enter at the Q3 stage.

In the event the FA Cup winners are qualified for the UEFA Champions League the FA Cup runners-up will qualify, but in the place reserved for the lowest ranking Barclays Premier League representative. The place with direct access to the Group Stage will be given to the club that finishes in the highest position in the Barclays Premier League of the clubs qualifying for the UEFA Europa League.

English winners of the UEFA Europa League will enter at the Group Stage, gaining an extra domestic place only if they fail to qualify through other means for the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League. If the holders of the UEFA Europa League have already qualified for Europe, no extra domestic place will be gained.

Should the FA Cup winners, runners-up (if applicable) and the Football League Cup winners already have qualified for Europe, their place goes to the next best placed clubs in the Premier League.

Money and a so called bigger club. But Villa are in a right old mess now. The relegation dog fight has just warmed up a bit more now.

Yes Bradford will get a Europa League spot. Normally the losers of the League Cup and FA Cup get into Europe IF the WINNERS are already qualified. Normally champions league though. But who knows what the suits will do come the summer.

I dont see Chelsea making the final actually. I expect Swansea City to reach the Final tonight. Now that will be an interesting final. Bradford City v. Swansea City. Great for the neutrals.

No fluke, Villa couldn't cope with the ariel threat over 2 legs and in fact bradford played some nice stuff in patches and the defence didn't look too shaky considering.. you'd have expected more from Villa.. Darren Bent came on but was invisible! ex Scunny player comes on for Bradford and made all the difference, what was his name?
