Ace, why I love cup football. First 4th tier side to reach the League cup final in 50 years. Well done Bradford
Chuffed for Duke after all he has been through, now he will get to play at Wembley. Same for Doyle and Atko.
A great night for the traveling Bradford fans. It will make their journey home a lot easier. I hope they all enjoy the final. Wish it was us. I love a good weekend away.
Who were both unused subs at Wembley in May 2008. Doyle played well at Watford a couple of weeks previously.
Over the moon Bradford my 2nd club. Family stopped over there from Ireland. Grandfather ,Grand Uncle etc born there, although they supported the Tigers all of their lives, after relocating to Hull in 1904. Must stop getting maudlin after a few glasses of wine, eh ho.
Despite all the money, greed, scandals and controversy in the game tonight shows that the true magic of football is still alive.
Best night for football this season? At last a night that rank and file fans can buy into. The shabby money grabbing tweeting fame-obsessed knobheads finally get shown up by an honest provincial team. Don't expect too much euphoria in the media- they have a vested interest in the status quo and their place on the gravy train. Once in a while, a team that the vast majority of the country is willing to win, an unlikely underdog manages to scramble a historic win- and show up the emperor's new clothes of the footballing elite and their media lickspittles.
Lambert will be gone soon, shown up there big time by hard work and a team spirit that money can't buy.
It's embarrassing for Screwdemall when a team assembled for £7,500 beats a Prem team over two legs. Like if you were car maker telling everyone your car cost a fortune but it was world class and the envy of car owners not just here but worldwide, and it lost a race fair and square against an Austin Allegro, what would potential car owners think ?
I especially wanted Bradford to win after Lambert's O.T.T celebration after Villa's first goal, it was ridiculous. Congratulations to all of Bradford's players, thoroughly deserved.
Completely agree. Best thing thats happened to football and Yorkshire pride in a while. Well done Bradfud....and Matty, Nathan, and Will the ex-Hull lads who contributed so much to their great victories over the Arsenal and Villa millionaires. Now they get to realise their Wembley dream and show Chelsea/Swansea what real team spirit is. I hope Lambert is gone by next week and Nigel Atkins gets a chance to continue where he left off at Southampton. Totally chuffed for those lads !!!!
