With the current revival at the bottom our last game might well be a crucial part of the relegation battle with Villa needing points for survival. An added bit of spice for the season. What's the betting that those who worked this out thought that it would be us needing the points?

Can Swansea still be relegated, they have stuttered these last 4 games, losing all of them and scoring just one goal. I really want them to stay up, and i'm sure it is just a blip and they will get the points

However if Bolton beat Spurs, things down there can get VERY interesting, with just a 8pt gap, squeeky bum time!!! That said, i reckon they (swans) will secure survival against Wolves.

That would be a no brainer.I would be cheering for The Villa.

I'd have to disagree - I cannot stand clubs like Villa who think they have a god given right to stay in the top division and do precisely what? **** all is what they do year in year out. They flatter to deceive and have a big club badge of honour about themselves. They are just a top flight Coventry who are another club I would love to see relegated this year!

Have to say I have no animosity to other clubs and it really doesn't bother me who comes up or goes down. I really wish the Binners could get up to our level as there's nothing better than derby day.

I fear at the rate they are progressing we are in for a long wait redruth!!!

I've mentioned Villa a few times in various threads and while they have picked up a couple of draws recently I still think they are at least a win short of survival, particularly as dare I say it QPR and of course Wigan have picked up lately.
It is nice to be able to sit back and watch though without getting my calculator out every 5 minutes. That wasn't a euphonism by the way!

Mrs CT reckons I am near the Aspergers scale, such is my fascination with the stats.I used to get great satisfactionin the old days of just watching the goal scorers and times come in on ceefax.OTOH she enjoys weddings and I don't see the point of those.

Everybody should get married! You can't go your whole life being happy!

;)

i really hope we beat Villa, and convincingly. We may have switched off though - remember Cov last year and Carlisle the year before

they beat us at their place, it was one of their best performances of the season.

Surely no ticker tape or open top bus this year?
It would serve Villa right if they did go down as hiring McLeish was a massive mistake. Whether they got him cheap I don't know but his style of football is dire defensive stuff and Villa didn't used to be like that.

You get your calculator out if you want to Thurnby, just don't do it while your sitting next to me!! <yikes>
Why do you call it "euphonism"? I just call mine my "Willy"!
