Absolutely. Just a bit bemused by the bile being poured on Sherwood, even though I'm not a fan of his, when he came a whisker of being our manager when of course many would have pledged undying loyalty. He'll give Villa a lift, they have some good players.

We won't know unless Tone tweets about his wet dream managers. Then we have to spin the tweet 180 degrees and divide it by 6 to make a guess on it's accuracy.

Surely a long term plan would be something a
manager/director of football sit down and work
    out between them?

The long term plan is to be in and stay in the EPL so whatever was the issue it must have been something else, transfers money, structure, his own back room staff, length of contract, pay..... Tony obviously felt he couldn't agree to the demands.

You need to read between the lines and speak the football managers lingo. For "long term plan" he means money. Both to spend as he wishes and in his wage packet. Sherwood was astute enough to realise that Tony was no longer prepared to 'pay what it takes' to secure a man who bought into the 'vision' - wait for Monday morning when Sherwood announces the 'project' and 'ambition' that was so attractive to him.

In 99.9% of cases ( except MU ) l don't wish bad or relegation on any team.
I just wish better luck and good times for ou
    Sherwood is saluting.
Ramsey's hand is positioned slightly differently ........... more like, "I can't see you, who the f--k is that?"
I think we've got the better of the two managers.

Villa have given him a contract until 2018. That's more than 3 years at £2m a year according to the Times. Maybe when TF got to know Tim and his endearing personality a little bit better, he wasn't convinced he was worth it. For example, despite being unemployed after his 6 month stint as an EPL manager, Tim hasn't completed his UEFA coaching badges.

Interviews are all about getting to know your candidates. And that works both ways, of course.

I'm happier to stick with Ramsey and see what he can do.

You have beautifully pointed out exactly why I don't want him near us. I felt the same about Hughes when he arrived. (As in Hughes had a reputation but wasn't backed up by having any actual success anywhere.)

That might work against us. With the pressure off, they might just relax and go for it. (If we're going down, let's take them with us kinda thing.)

There's a few things that may give logical reasons but basically I just føkkin hate Norwich and Villa far more than any of our more traditional hate Clubs. Villa have played drab football for years and deserve to go down in my biased opinion. Normally your lad would get more entertainment at WBA, but perhaps not now with each Clubs new Managers.

I'd be gutted if I was a good long-term manager that Sherwood has just waltzed into Villa with virtually no track record. If they lose their first league game with him in charge it will interesting to see the comments.

In my opinion we ducked a bullet by not appointing Timothy. He may well turn out to be a very good manager but boy what a cock he more than often comes across as.
