Could be a riveting final day of the season with Leicester v QPR and Villa v Burnley...

Apart from his seeming certainty about his own abilities his lack of discretion in how to deal with the owners of a club is a big risk factor with him. He made an error of judgement in how he spoke out at Spurs and it seems he, or someone close to him, leaked details of his negotiations with Rangers after it fell though. If that was the case any owner would be very wary.

Your boss is your boss; s/ he pays and you do the work. Provided it is not illegal or immoral you should use an appropriate standard in working with owners. Did not see that at Spurs and sense it was a factor at Rangers in the end.

I couldn't agree more, hate Villa and their horrible fans. Hopefully this is the last time they flirt with relegation and TS finally takes them over the edge. Normally I'm pretty indifferent to other sides and just focus on the R's but there's something about Villa that just raises my hackles.

any reason for that? Your opinion of course, but surely there are other clubs more worthy of hate.
Personally quite like Villa....super history and a great old stadium. My lad is moving to Brum soon so might catch a few games at Villa Park.

I'm glad he didn't come to us, but suspect Sherwood would have been ok in the short term. He'll do better than Lambert.

Am I correct in thinking that Villa can count amongst their supporters the likes of Willy Windsor and Call Me Dave?

Exactly .................... now we can sit back and relax knowing it's not our team implementing his wisdom.

The other interpretation is that he asked what the plan was if we got relegated and they couldn't give him an answer. Given that his fan club were already at QPR it must have been something pretty convincing to put him off.

If that's what we collectively want to believe to make his rejection of us bearable, fine. I don't think most of us fans wanted him, but the board did and they didn't get him. Might have been cash, might have been something else, or a combination. Can't sell QPR as a 'project' anymore, only as a rescue mission. I read the 'worries about the relegation plan' line somewhere, can't remember where.

    'worries about the relegation plan'

That was cited in one of the papers and presumably came from Sherwood camp if from anyone. We can't know for sure. We are where we are now. Chris and the boys have to do it.

Did he say no to us or did we say no to him?

Either way, I'm glad its turned out thus. If that man ties his own shoelaces in the morning I'd be amazed
