Odd match. We were in control and professional in the end, finally a change from Eddie that worked (Tino on Bailey), but Villa also unexpectedly poor. Special mention for an astonishing miss by Murphy. Almiron made a difference, Isak clearly playing unfit which is again an indictment of the recruitment as Hall sits on the bench for 90 minutes.
McGinn to Viaplay in post match interview: "The celebrations in the away dressing room will motivate us to stay ahead of them with more than the over 10 points we're already ahead of them"
That’s a load of bollocks. Your post was perfectly fine. I got banned off the bbc website because I said and I quote “Klopp is the wurst”. Because he was complaining about everything.
Just to add to tonight's enjoyment (well, for most of us, no pleasing some people ...), Everton are back in the bottom three
If we can go on a run now and secure 5th or something Howe would have officially turned the season around. We really, really need to focus on some silverware though, I would sacrifice to a dark god for a trophy.
Love the mackum thread to make me sleep soundly. Villa are ****. Have been for weeks. Miley is ****. Not seen him do anything good. But they aren’t bothered about us
Newcastle have no fit striker and still have injury issues. I'm keen to.see how they do vs Luton, Forest and Bournemouth before getting carried away over one result.
Now you all know I hate to say i told you so, but……some time ago I made a comment to say we should stop ****ing around with inverted wingers as we’d be more effective with players on their “good” side. I’ll point to yesterday’s third goal. Not saying we do it all the time but just changing things now and again keeps opponents guessing and for too much of this season we were incredibly predictable.
I personally found it very sad to see a player that clearly gives his all scored 11 goals last season and not doing too badly this season being bullied this season because he missed a few chances (some of which he created with a tackle) He's a good player and as you say he is in fact playing the wrong position when playing right wing, although it does allow for his efforts on goal with his left which he was very successful with last season. I'm delighted he's staying I was actually genuinely sad when I thought he was going.
