It would be interesting to know whether Solskjaer had done his homework to specifically target our weaker left hand side of the defence or it's just how the game panned out.
Tactically far different from the first game at the Cardiff City stadium where Mackay successfully set the team up to play like an away team against us,sitting deep & narrow, concentrating on defending the last third and playing on the break utilising Campbell's willingness to run at the ponderous man city centre back pairing of Lescott & Garcia, the new manager seems to put more emphasis on attack and Cardiff provided a far sterner test than many visiting sides to the Etihad.
Realistically, with Man City averaging a ridiculous 4 goals a game at home and a more or less fully fit array of talent to pick from, returning back to South Wales with anything other than pride intact was always unlikely and so it proved as late goals ensured a two goal margin which on reflection was probably about right.
Some excellent performances for Cardiff,in particular Noone who terrorised Kolorov all day and skinned Kompany for his goal and mutch & whittingham who ran their socks off for the cause.
Not often the opposition can take anything from a game they've conceded four in but Cardiff should be proud of their performance going toe to toe with a very good side and didn't look out of place
Similar levels of performance for the remainder of the season will ensure Cardiff climb off the bottom to safety, there's certainly worse sides in the division and I hope I get the opportunity to visit Cardiff again next year
