i do wonder if his comments were real or not - http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Club-news/2012/March/Man-City-ban-BBC-man-Dan-Roan Thoughts ?
I know where you are coming from and its great that you are making good articles. But sometimes if an article has already been made on that topic, then you should comment in that, otherwise, it clogs up the board with the same topics. Also makes the mod's jobs a lot harder as they have to then merge the threads together. ps - I enjoy reading your articles so carry on
I remember when Viera was strongly linked with us one summer and he refused to rule out a move to United at the time. MAybe he's just bitter he didn't get his dream move ?
Yep, says in the guardian this morn that city are outraged with the beeb and it was taken completely out of context Viera's still a tool though
Clubs always say that. However I agree Veira is a prat. Considering the row he tried to start with Man United last week of course any comments he made about officials would be viewed in this light.
According to this story Viera said that the biggest clubs for example the likes of United, Madrid, Milan, Barca etc always get generous refereeing at home and that city need to progress further to be able to have this advantage at the Etihad too, he also told the reporter from the been that he hadn't seen the United v Fulham game which the reporter purposely left out of the story to twist words further.
Is it just me or did the BBC actually change their headline? I didn't read the report but I distinctly remember it saying something like Refs favour Man Utd, now it says Refs favour big clubs at home. But it's just silly from Viera as well. Why does he need to come out with that statement. Not that I agree when people keep saying stuff about City as well, just get on with the game.
I notice SAF has come out and said that lucky breaks even out. I wonder if next time a decision goes against him, he'll say the same thing?
When Fergie says something like this about a 'rival/challenger' it is glorified as being 'mind-games' and a great psychological move by Fergie. When someone says something negative about United it is seen as a rant, or it is suggested that Fergie has 'got' to them! My problem with the above attitude is that it is completely flawed by Fergie himself....when it was suggested that United were struggling in Europe, Fergie responded in his 'mind-game' mode by laughing and walking out of the press conference, United subsequently went out! When United faced Bilbao, prior to the game Fergie suggested that United would have got to the final of the CL, thus using his 'mind-game' mode to unsettle Bilbao, again, United went out! Thus, Fergie's mind-games are a myth!
Yeah because it backfired a few times obviously means the entire thing is a myth and mind games have never worked.
