Vieira Our New Manager?

Personally I feel that whilst Vieira was an interesting idea, I think we've all gone again and got ourselves excited about media rumours that may not have had any substance in the first place. Before the end of the season, many on here were touting McClaren as a great appointment for us but not that we've had a sniff of something different, we can't stand the idea.

Yes Vieira could have been a good appointment, but he also has no experience as a coach at the top level. As some have pointed out he could have been another Roy Keane. I think we need to step back for a second and wait for an appointment, hopefully this week. If it's Carver then we are all entitled to lose our minds, if anyone else then we should then watch to see who is brought in player wise and look forward with a bit of positivity that the goblin has at the very worst been relegated back to the back room.

 

I would have liked Vieira as the newbie in charge but, as others have said, unlikely that it was ever going to happen as the suggestion is that he would have wanted sole/main say on transfers.

On that level you can't criticise the Club for not changing en masse to simply accommodate one person.

McLaren is a reasonable but not brilliant or exciting appointment nor an appointment for me for a number of reasons some of which I have mentioned before. That being said he is on a different planet to the current/last incumbents.

I would propose to see who we bought and that would then tell me what direction we were going.
