Did you try Dishonored Bri? I thought that was fairly decent. Loved New Vegas but didn't get into Fall Out 3 I think I put it down for too long and never convinced myself to get back into it. Agree with you about Bethesda they keep producing great games. Skyrim definitely one I didn't think I'd like but spend 2 years on and off on that game, addictive as hell. Bethesda are releasing Elder Scrolls Online on Xbox One early next year, supposed to be amazing but probably riddled with glitches for a while. Finished GTA5 just before I ditched my 360 a couple of weeks ago, top game. Will buy it again if it's released on XB1.
Not yet fella. All my spare money goes on match tickets at the moment. Will pick it up after christmas. Did you play Fallout 3 before or after new vegas?
I bought FO3 first but I think I bought it with another game(s) and it got shunned a bit. I like openworld games so probably would have got into it if I went back to it. New Vegas was very good though, had to have a few cracks at it because I struggled with the Deathclaws, I had a bad armoury first time round and couldn't get through that quarry for ages! I did the same with Skyrim but I picked it up after 10 months of it gathering dust, still played it right up until a couple of weeks ago. I'll just wait for FallOut 4 now unless they can start to upscale 360 games online onto XB1 then I'll maybe download 3 again, starting to regret the ditching the 360 already, the launch games on the new platforms have no longevity, I've already finished Ghosts and Ryse.
There's a cliff face you could have nestled on at the quarry to take the deathclaws out at a low level. Takes two or three hours. Or you could have just gone back once you'd leveled up enough. Did you get as far as the DC ruins on Fallout 3? Fallout 3 definitely got better the more you leveled up like.
I played FO3 for about an hour tops, barely got used to the controls before I turned it off. I don't know why I didn't go back to it, I didn't not like it or anything. Yeah, I got past the quarry 2nd attempt, did take an age to be honest just didn't have enough ammo or good guns to deal with them first time round. Similar to Skyrim in the open world setting though, just wandering along to your next mission then you've got to deal with some creature that wants to rip your head off, keeps it entertaining.
Restarted Skyrim last night and I'm not going to fast travel Going to get plenty of combat to level up. hoarding weapons to sell at whiterun at the moment and chopping wood to make some money. Secret to skyrim is to pile all your efforts into blacksmithing to get your Daedric Armor as fast as possible. Got plenty of mining to do.
My Top10 1. Skyrim (PS3) 2. Fallout (Xbox360) 3. COD4 (Xbox360) 4. Final Fantasy VII (PS1) 5. Super Mario World (SNES) 6. Dark Cloud (PS2) 7. Diablo (PC) 8. Neverwinter Nights (PC) 9. Baldurs Gate (PC) 10. Lego LOTR (PS3) In brackets is what console I played this on. The top five are nailed on but the other 5 are in no particular order.
Ha, that's how I went about things first time around. Discover all of the caves and stuff then. Once I got the Ebony Mail I didn't bother with any other armour, got up to 100% heavy armour, 100% (Didn't bother making them legendary) One handed and 97% ish on destruction, along with Dawnbreaker, Call Storm and Sanguine Rose you're pretty much in God Mode then. Gutted I never got to kill that Jivago cat thingy before I got rid though, hated that little bastard. I thought I was a bit of a dork when I got into the game to be honest but then I seen what the PC guys do on it on Youtube with the mods and stuff, proper geek stuff mate I wouldn't know where to start.
Same here. Not exactly my subject matter but took a punt because it was Bethesda and wow! Bring on Fallout 4!
Agreed Bri, but the only reason was that you could just turn it on have 30 mins then turn off. mAlso can I add Dragonage: Origins to the list. Aslo Bri in Skyrim is there any point of a skill becoming Legendary?? Just started playing this again on my PS3, also cannot wait for Elder Scrolls online out in the spring on my PS4.
The guy in Game kept saying it was epic one day when I went in to buy a new game, told him I already had it and his advice was to not buy a new game and just go home and play on Skyrim. I don't like the word 'Epic' but he was right it was very good. There's a certain stigma attached to games involving dragons and magic and a stereotype of the kind of gamers that play those games, I don't fit that mould at all!
I certainly makes the differance equipment wise. I go for legendary Daedric Armor because it's the best in the game but to do it I need to maxout Smithing. don't know about the skills because once you max the smithing you've got access to making the best weapons and armour. Still not completed it though I've been very far into the game (last two times I've played it my console packed in and I lost the data) so don't know if the other skills are worth it. But once you have all that is Daedric then you're hard as ****. Certainly didn't need to max out my two handed skills etc to become unstoppable.
Where did you get to Bri had you finished the main quests? I once accidentally called a Storm on Riften and ended up with a stupid 20,000 gold bounty which was about 80% of my gold stash. I just duplicated a load of Oghma Infiniums to sell to get my money back.
