Time for the much vaunted medical / sports science team to prove they are worth the millions Saints spend on them.

If that fails, just pump them full of drugs

I wish people would stop trying to do direct comparisons between Cork and Wanyama. They are a different types of player, each effective in their own way. Obviously I'd like to see Cork with Schneiderlin but that looks unlikely on Saturday. I hope that, should we lose, people realise that Man City are probably the best team in the league and it won't be all Cork's fault!

    Of course, we might win!

People are having slight digs at Cork for one reason. All we have been getting from some people is "Cork is better then Wanyama and should be playing instead" and " Wanyama isn't any good". Soon as Wanyama is injured and Cork has to play the same people try and say not to compare players. Which they have been doing the whole time anyways.

Not really mush. There seems to be a school of thought that says you have to be "for" one or the other. Which is of course nonsense.

I agree. It just got annoying seeing the same people having a go at Wanyama over and over and wanting Cork in.

If Wanyama was the only player out I wouldn't be too worried. Cork and Morgan make a very good partnership. Likewise if Clyne was the only player out, I wouldn't be concerned about Chambers stepping in. But the reality is, we are going to be much weaker individually and as a unit with so many changes to our back 7 defensive players. We could be down to 2 of our first choice 7 defensive players. If Fonte and Morgan are back then that's already a big improvement but if not then we are going to be far too lightweight. I assume we'll continue with the same tactics regardless. Hoping for some speedy recoveries.

At first read I thought you said "Cortese"

He's a well turned out fella, but I really would prefer not be pumped full of Cortese.

On the internet there are no greys, just black and white.

I honestly don't think our depth is bad. The only key miss is Boruc being replaced with Gazza. Yoshida is a good player, he just played crap on Wednesday. We have lots of good centre midfielders; but if you lose your best one, of course you're gonna suffer. Chambers will be a decent replacement for Clyne.

Any news on Clyne? I've heard he's fractured a bone in his leg.

Thanks chaps. I was right to be suspicious, my dad always tells me Saints news that I know is completely wide of the mark.

It's Wanyama with the leg fracture. Clyne has a pelvic problem, as I see other have said. :)

Many more injuries and we'll need Dr McCoy in there.
