Something's up though. Ferrari wouldn't have kept Massa for a single season if they didn't have someone in mind for 2014. Kubica is obviously an option, but seems less likely. If they didn't have something planned for 2014, why would they sniff at Perez for being inexperienced, when surely that would make him an ideal understudy to Alonso?
If they didn't have plans for 2014, they would have ditched Massa and signed someone else on a multi-year contract. They clearly think they have a chance of Vettel.
