Care to say where and when you have seen the keeper play?

One other thing. When Ayala arrives NP then has the option to play 3 centre backs with 2 wing backs and Mckenna just in front. This system will work well against teams who like to attack and are open (ie.blackpool - west ham) as an example.

I have no info to back up my prediction, I just think that Ayala won't get a look in at Liverpool, he obviously enjoyed being with us and the friendly is down to business we're doing with them. It could be that the Gulasci deal is the only one happening, I just suspect there could be more to it and I wouldn't even be surprised if it was a permanent deal.

I'd be more comfortable with an experienced head like Hahnemann behind our young back four. They'll have McKenna in front of them though and despite his age, Jack Hobbs has played plenty of league games. Chester and Dudgeon are really inexperienced though.

Well it woulddn't be a loan, would it? What would be the point of a loan from Liverpool's point of view?

to let their players gain first team experience? As with all loans to a lower league side? Will allow them to see if he can make the grade at a higher level.

I used to watch the odd Liverpool reserve game, they used to go out live on the LFC channel, which came free with Setanta for some reason(I'm not sure if you still get it now it switched to ESPN).

I don't remember if I ever saw Gulasci though.

If he's talking about Ayala though he's out of contract at the end of this season, so unless he signs a new contract a loan is as good as a permanent transfer from Liverpool's point of view.

Obviously, there's no benefit for Liverpool unless they extend his contract over the summer, though if they're not going to play him, then it's in their interest to have him playing first team football next season, to bump the compensation entitlement as high as possible.

YES. Saturday 13th November 2010 Tranmere Rovers v. Plymouth Argle. T R won 1 - 0 and Gulacsi pulled off soem strong saves. He has a good wrist and needed to. Ian Goodison for sure knew he was there. lol. The goal was scored by Ryan Johnson. The game was played after City won @ Preston 2-0 on the friday. I wanted to see how Goodi was doing since his City days. Talking with locals they were well impressed with him and i left the game with the same thoughts.
The point being, with a strong defence in front of him he will be a cracking signing for the Tigers.

I think if Liverpool had wanted to keep him they would have offered him a new contract at the end of the season. As it is surely they would be better off letting him come here permanently for a fee with add-ons, eg. £500k up front, another £500k if we get promoted whilst he is our player, and a percentage of any sell-on. I think the only thing that is holding them up is the completion of their other business so they can see what deal is appropriate for Ayala.
