    the labour contigent here make me laugh, before you call mrs thatcher evil i as a welshman remember when labour raided the aberfan fund in the sixties, party of the people my backside now that WAS evil ! maggie was a great woman who stood up to the cowardly bullies of the trade union barons who were harrasing innocent people, she allowed working class people to buy there council houses, thats a woman of the people not the leftie pretenders

    Maggie was like Marmite - you either loved her or hated her. I have no problem with both emotions being shown on here now she has died - she certainly never worried about either when she was alive.

    Anyone under the age of 22 on here would not have been born while she was PM, anyone under 30 is unlikely to have really registered her as any kind of element in their life.

    So let us know, what has coloured your view, either massively positive or massively negative, that leads to such strong views?

    One of my abiding memories was an advert during the early-mid 80s, plastered all over the bus stops, a large picture of Maggie's face, and the statement "If Margaret Thatcher gets up your nose, picket!" There was a lot of chewing gum stuck against those pictures.

    Nothing to do with labour with me,she killed 600 Argentinians that were outside the conflict area that she set.No different to the cowardly Japs at pearl Harbour.why ? because she wanted a war to get re-ellected.1500 died for her to get what she wanted,and she couldn't care less.

    Nasty things happen in war, and are done by both sides. Some work in stopping a war and some don't. Thatcher was re-elected with one of the biggest ever landslides after the Falklands.

    Most politicians from all sides are thieving scum bastards, She orchestrated a war with the unions as an act of revenge, and she allowed people to get into debt, ie ,buy their own council houses, easy credit, so when it came to fighting for their jobs when she shut everything down their arses would fall out.
