I'm usually a cynic of Pard's, I think he's far too happy to give information to the public of all the small arguments or problems that should be kept in house. However his interview on SSN was very impressive, answered all the questions clearly and honestly, and I actually have a tiny shred of confidence that Barton may stay, and we could still sign a decent striker this summer. Here's hoping!

I'm not. I respect his reasoning to keep Barton away from the first team for the time being, but the fact that he didn't really tell us much about transfers/players ect just made me disappointed with a lack of insight once more.

I thought it was quite a good interview, and it's not really a surprise that he didn't say who the main transfer targets are, most managers don't.

He doesnt like talking about players before we've signed them, did the same with Erdinc even though everyone knew he was the player he was on about.

Exactly, you can't blame him for that, most managers wouldn't mention transfer targets by name out of respect to other clubs and players.

Did he mention why he sold Nolan and in the process of selling Barton and Enrique? Or did he mention when he'd lost his spine at all?

Why on earth would talk about Nolan?! He was transferred ages ago and I think he has commented on that situation quite a few times.

Enrique WANT's to go, he wants CL football and we cant provide that. Cant say I blame him.

We all know about the Barton situation and he actually commented on this on the press conference. Basically said that Joey wasn't being a team player by his tweets, there is still a chance he will stay if he bucks his ideas up.

Man it feels like Groundhog day on here.

To be fair he isn't going to talk about specific targets, only a fool would. And he is probably wary of making any promises on the transfer front in case it doesn't happen. That is out of his control. He can want this player and that player, but if he actually gets them is down to the board not him.

OK ~ Maybe what I should have said was why is he watching while our club is being decimated in from of his eyes and standing with is finger up his backside saying/doing f*** all.

This.

You have to hand it to Alain de Pardieu. He gives good press conference.

However, the proof is in the pudding, and so far he hasn't delivered what was promised. If it is not down to him, but Ashley and Llambias, they should have the balls to come out in support of their position.

I can take the truth, however unpalatable. It's the constant lying that really boils my piss!
