Emerton has been getting some rave reviews for the reserves, I think he could be used a bit this season but he will need to make a big impact in pre-season.
Atkinson's a League One player, why we've given him another year is completely beyond me. I think Devitt is underestimated as an attacking player, but he can't win a ball and I hear that William Hill's are offering 150-1 on him heading the ball at least once next season. It's a pity he can't sort the rest of his game out, he could be a very good player.
If I'm right in thinking he has not been out on loan yet? Don't think we would throw him straight in to the first team squad without first team experience would we?
I wouldn't mind seeing Emerton in the first team this year, his performances for the reserves have been brilliant, although like a few have said, he does lack the physical side of the game due to his build. I expect to see him in the cup game.
