But they are also better than taking the club backward, which is what is happening now. Part of that has to be the management, I know you don't want to hear it, but maybe a previous manager was doing a better job in getting what he did out of some of these same players than you (and others) would ever give him credit for? They can't be Ok to good for one manager, and a new one comes in and they are suddenly average to poor.

You tell me, you're the one (along with Red Robin) who keeps saying NP inherited a poor squad? Yet most of the people mentioned as playing well, are all signings from before NP.
If the worst ones were let go, and NP kept the best of the bad bunch, why were we so low down the table at the end of last season, and again this season, compared to 2-3 seasons ago?

Three/four seasons ago we had Brownhill-Bryan-Reid-Smith-Webster-Pack far better players than we have here now.

2 parts WHO ..... IMO we had the opportunity to have had continuity before NP ... [ and although repeating it again SL doubted his/ (board ? ) reaction in actions taken. ] NP in the job and until BCFC makes a decision they are more worthy than anyone outside the club to do so .............

2nd part.... give the man a chance of course, BCFC have pretty much done that to previous managers. without being hypocritical facts and figures do add to, or are the epitome of the point where they are good or bad or disasterous and mean a lot ... eg played 45 pts 51 team in 21st position on 55 = disaster ... team in 21st on same pts as team in 22nd but scored 1 more goal difference ... good = promotion/top6/ a few places better than seasons before .....

My previous posts have shown NP has a big hill to climb ..has started the walk and short of breath! most attributes that be added to the pts on the board are better than last season [ mainly because prior to his coming they were better,] but we must accept that being so close to not being in danger of relegation he experimented and didnt win any points ..... but facts are facts ....... goals come from shots on target, shots on target come from shots at goal sounds simple!... its not ... by a long chalk.
last season there were teams whose conversion ratio's were so much better than some teams that finished in top 6 NP needs to up the shots/ shots on target or, higher number of goals scored must be converted more economically. That is half the problem. GD is the other half must be a plus as it is no good getting a goal for every 3 shots on target, if opposition is getting 1 for every 2 they take against us!

NP says we play on the counter [ thats why other teams have 61% of the game ] what they can do in 57 mins of the game attacking we have 43 mins defending and hope for the occassional counter!!!!! COUNTER ATTACK... LONG BALLS? is that why Martin is first pick? well IMO he is not good enough for that [ in the 1-2 / 2-1 we play ]

come on NP get on with it settle down times change the past is gone this is now attitudes and game plans change ..

Nope, only last season and this season. You could also say we were poor in the last 8 games of the season before, but we were 7th coming out of lockdown, in my book that is not poor! And we had none of the players you mention above still with us then, but we did have; Bentley, DaSilva, Baker, Kalas, HNM, Bakinson, Palmer, Weimann, Wells, Semenyo, Williams, etc, etc. So how can the nucleus of the side that was 7th with 8 to play 2 years ago, still be here now, and we finish 19th last season, and are in the same position this season? A large part has to be the management. Just because you don't want to admit it, doesn't make it not true..

Vyner was so good City sent him on loan to Aberdeen.
Bakinson never played under Demi Lovato.

I said good to OK. O'Dowda was playing well, so well that everyone on here was fuming at him not signing the contract and messing City about. Amazing how now how you and RR seem to recall differently. Again, I will make the point, if all of these players are/were rubbish, how were we 7th coming out of lockdown 18 months ago? Had to be down to good management. You can't have both sides of the argument, it doesn't stack up

I would say:
O Dowda - good on his day, but inconsistent and was injured a lot
Vyner - Don't rate him (but REALLY hope he steps up)
Bakinson - He seems to be the fall guy of the moment - I don't rate him but like with Vyner I really hope he comes good - he will need to deal mentally with the stick he's been getting recently too.
DaSilva - Very good on loan and before his injury. Never recovered - maybe a confidence thing? Today he's inconsistent.
Wells - Top scorer in the Championship when we signed him, so we know he can do a job, but he dried up almost as soon as he arrived. I said on another post once before that we should look at the formation and service he was getting when he was on fire for QPR and try and recreate it if we want him to perform the same for us. Underwhelmed with him but feel that it's not entirely his fault - he just hasn't fitted in here - one of our players who will start scoring as soon as he leaves AG IMHO.

OD....like most on "edge of squad" doesnt get enough game time ... dont forget at times has had some really good performances for national team against strong opposition .....
Vyner .. utilty defender? where best to play him?
Bak, ... NP made a statement encouraging him against the background of a few dissenters
DAS .... I reckon like the rest of the team needs to be the mix [ regular starting 11 ] squad to be initial 12/13 outfield players to start .........
Wells... BCFC has this knackof spoiling players especially forwards [ No 9 -- 8 or 10 in old money! ] ... there was a massive clue in the U23's when he played and they scored a hatful ... how to play him!!!

what about Flint? Time moves on we do have some decent players just needs to get them to gel as a team ... build up their confidence get a consistant team line up ...job done top 10 .....
