Not sure. Barcelona have been linked, as they have to keep resorting to playing Mascherano there. How much did you sell him for?

You got lucky with all those Soldados penalties.

Well Liverpool is actually 7 points ahead considering goal difference.

Or £3m more than Countinho transfer.

Or just less than £2m LFC paid for Sturridge

  8. Thing is, though, we made you look far, far better than you actually are.

Let's face it, if neither we nor United were having our current dip, you'd be back in 6th, where (realistically) you should be. Perhaps even 7th, if Everton weren't having their current string of bad luck.

I thought Spurs realistically would of been in the bottom half of the table, when you sold Bale, the guy who single handedly won you many games.

You are exceeding everyone expectation being 5th place without Bale. Spurs are over-achieving this season. You have rubbish attackers, you are relying on a City and Arsenal reject to get you goals and he is getting old.

If Liverpool defence was injury free, we would realistically be first. We made silly mistakes and still 4 points behind Chelsea

What did you expect when you sold the league 2nd best player to Madrid?

  13. Come on, let's all be honest about this! Spurs, United, Everton, Chelsea, and City are all playing well below par, which is making 'Pool look good and flattering them. Add to that the fact that 'Pool is having a blinding season, well above what anyone could have predicted, including that club legend of yours, Lawro, and it's all making for a very distorted view of the league.

Okay, and yes, Arsenal have over-achieved; and whilst it now looks like they are going to slide back down the table over the next couple of weeks, I would still expect them to finish above 'Pool.

You forgot Liverpool been playing without a first choice back 4 all season. We basically been playing with a 2nd choice defence. We also started with Suarez with a 5 game ban and then Sturridge got injured for 9 games.

Liverpool only spent £12m in the summer compared to £120m Spurs spent, £50m City and Chelsea, £30m United Spent and £42m Arsenal spent.

Despite all this, Liverpool are still ahead of Spurs by 7 points and 4 points off 1st place!

Most Liverpool fans just want to finish top 4. That has been our target all season. Anything more is a bonus. Good to know where just 4 points behind with all the troubles Liverpool had with injuries and bans.

Yes, because we've had no injuries at all and none of our players have been banned, either.

Liverpool's net spend this summer was £20.3m, compared to Spurs' -£3.8m. Why you feel it's honest to compare an incorrectly reduced net spend with another team's gross spend is beyond me, though.
You've also been given charity loans by the likes of Chelsea and Valencia.

Liverpool haven't had any cups to worry about this season, either. No Europe and only five domestic cup games.

Liverpool spent £20m in the summer NET and Rodgers has spent £62m NET since he has been there, Spurs have spent next to nothing NET for the last 5 years.

Liverpool have benefited from playing between 10 and 20 less games than their rivals this season, have a settled team with minimal injuries (not the 6 to 10 constant injuries Spurs have endured all season), have had a couple of players in the form of their lives (which will not last forever) and have benefited from several game changing key decisions from referees at crucial times (being given several penalties for blatant dives being a prime example).

The changes at United and Spurs have helped massively and at the moment everything is going Liverpool`s way, it will not last forever, enjoy it while it does.

What did you expect with buying a new team? You will finish 1st? You are over achieving being 5th place with a new team almost.

Agger, Sakho, Enrique and Johnson been injured a lot this season and still 4th place!

Tbh, you havent really got world class players that Spurs would miss. Liverpool missed Sturridge and Suarez where one is world class and one will soon become it.
