A stylish attacking team but that'd get raped against teams with a similar attacking mentality. No proper DM, Coutinho and Eriksen too light weight to play together without a DM like Sandro or Lucas behind, Sterling is better attacking wise but Lennon's defensive work rate is superb most of the time. Vertonghen isn't even Spurs' best defender by the way.
Yeh I know, but if Rodgers or even Tim is the manager, the aim is to outscore the opponents. My team would be -----------------------LLoris Flannagan.....Vertoghen----Sakho----Agger --------------Sandro----------Gerrard----- ----------------------Countinho---- ---Sturridge-----------------------------Sterling ------------------------Suarez 8 - 3 to Liverpool! Vertonghen was excellent for Spurs last season. He is just injured and fed up playing with crap players.
In all honesty, the only players I'd want from 'Pool's current squad are Continho and Sturridge. Goofy is having a decent season, but I still get the feeling that he's carrying far too much baggage, and that it's only a matter of time before he explodes yet again.
A fit Kaboul by a country mile mate. Vertonghen was indeed excellent last season though many Spurs fans, you know, those people that watch him week in week out will tell you that defensively he can be very suspect. It's funny how Liverpool have suddenly become a super side this season, have to ask my friend, what medication/ pills do you take? Any spares?
Just 2 out of the team that humiliated you at WHL? You are being to generous surely. Lloris was your best player, if he wasnt for him the score could of been 10-0
I'm gutted about it mate, CB's tend to be my favourite players despite the fact I played as a LW back in the Sunday League days. Typical that Ledders and Kaboom had to be my favourites... Could've been 5-5 if we scored 5 goals from 5 chances but we didn't score 5 goals from 5 chances as we didn't take enough shots. What a bugger.
I started at LB but my manager got pissed off at the fact I used to bomb forward all the time and never chased back. Couldn't really defend for **** either, got booked all the time for hacking legs . Was a mean set piece specialist though I must admit.
If the perfectly good goal by Soldado had been allowed, the two penalties given for the Skrtel fouls and the ridiculous sending off of Paulinho it may not have been a humiliation
Yes I do. We get it from here. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/tables 4 points from 1st place. 11 points ahead of United
It should be noted JV had his best spell when he first joined, then he was alongside Caulker and Gallas. He was in the side v United for the OT 2-3, didn't seem to mind getting on the scoresheet that day from LB.
And our **** players only find ourselves just 6 points behind you... Just shows how bad our season has been I suppose. Quite embarrassing for us really.
