I think you will probably get a new striker as it looks like Defoe is going, is there any news who is after him?
Adebayor is supposedly a done deal. I can't see Defoe leaving, nor any reason for him to want to leave.
Ohh it is OK now, our chairman Paul Scally has paid up and has also agreed to a new lease which is good, however that training ground seems to be where we get all our injuries from.

Great to see new faces. Yep I agree,a striker and keeper,Defoe to go....sorry if you disagree but he went off form badly after the 5 goal haul against Wigan.
He averaged a goal every 130 mins last season. Very respectable return and surely worthy of a place in the squad.

I think it is important you keep him as he has been at the club for a while and you want to keep loyal players he is also still a top player with goals in him and personally I think he should get more game time.Wandering Yid:3103487 said:

To be fair, though, that's exactly how Defoe has played for the past three seasons!
I don't know why people here have such a downer on Defoe. O.k. Maybe he's not going to always be first pick - depending on who we get in, and what kind of system AVB decides on. But, he's a proven Premiership goal scorer. No he's not perfect, but he's gotten us more than a few very important goals, and currently, we have nobody else that can score the kind of goals that he does.
I like Defoe..for the simple reason that whenever i see him in another kit bar Spurs's then it feels strange..the man is a Yid..and even though i know he will hit Row Z..when he comes on as a sub..he gives me hope that he may grab a cracking goal...but i never hold my breathe.
