Oh for Christ sake.........have just looked up the Ref for this one. You ain't gonna believe this but 81 yellows and 10 (yes ten) reds in 20 matches. I'm just not going to say anymore on this game because it is likely to be abandoned due to lack of people on the pitch given recent history. You have to admit that really is some tally.

We’re ducking out of this one as my mother-in-law is still with us and it’s an evening kick-off. I’ll be watching it in TV though.

As a minimum, I watch a couple videos of Premier League games on an average Sunday - while cooking the dinner I should add in case that sounds bad.

There are cameras everywhere in that league and of course as VAR, they actually form part of the refereeing process in very serious incidents.

It seems refereeing is moving further and further away from reality, particularly around handball, while simulation gets worse every week. I think proven simulation should be punished harshly - as harshly at least as the imitated offence. Whatever it’s supposed to be, it isn’t working. I think anyone shown to have simulated a penalty or red-card foul, they should be sent off themselves.

I watched Chelsea v Aston Villa yesterday. With the events of Friday in mind, those TV close-ups confirm the kind of things Ralls was sent of for occur at pretty much every corner!

That's two of us that won't be there then notdistant. It is too cold for my lungs at the moment and that's day time temperatures let alone night time. If I tried to walk around in Central Park this evening I'd last about 5 minutes before my breathing gave out. I know the Demport song is "I'm Argyle till I die" but I'm not going to actually do it.

I watched that game Aston Villa v Chelsea and commented at the time exactly what you have mentioned above. The cheating, because that's what it is, was so obvious it was embarrassing. Nobody calls it out though. Pundits think it's fair game with comments like "he felt a touch and was entitled to go down". Really? I do feel sorry for Refs a lot of the time because these players are getting so good at diving it is hard to tell real time without slomo camera angles and shots. Corners and set pieces are a joke and that is where fouls are constantly committed without punishment most of the time. When it is given it then seems you have been cheated considering the hundred other offences not punished.

Sorry to hear that Sensible but my dancing days are over too I fear.

Have you gone over to the Dark Side? If so, Argyle on Sky Sports+ at 7:45.

Sky Sports home page - Red Button.

Thanks notdistant I blame me for most of the problem in that my previous habits have come back to bite me. I would NEVER go over to the dark side and get Sky. They are to blame mostly for ruining my season as a spectator with a season ticket. The rest of the season fixtures aren't much better in places. Having blamed myself partly for missing the game tonight I think I might have had a lucky escape.

Not an enjoyable experience for sure.

Argyle started nervously and conceded early which of course allowed Wycombe to fall back on their traditional methods. 15 minutes to take a throw-in from the right place, frequent life-threatening injuries etc etc. To be fair to the ref, he tried to get them moving but it’s an unenviable task.

We lost Oseni to an injury early on - ideal, another injury to a player who’s been showing good form.

We were better in the second half without scoring until deep in extra-time when a header from Pepple was deemed to cross the line before being cleared. It’s anyone’s guess if it did - apparently there are no trackers in the balls in this division .

It was justice for the only team trying to play football but it was nerve racking for sure.

An ugly game and not a great performance to put it mildly, but a point regained at least.

Sad that a single point at home these days is seen as a success........how can we get consistent performances at home.....somethings got to change to help us stay in this division.

On paper this started as one of our strongest line ups for awhile.....but defensively in the first half we struggled.....and first half attacking stats hardly existed.

Coaching isn't bringing any consistency....we never know what to expect from one match to the next.

For Christ’s sake Plym, give it a rest.

If there’s money to spend, spend it on players, not compensation for sacking one head coach and more compensation for prising another one from his current club.
