I believe that Mr Brent is what is called "Asset Rich". He has a lot of business assets and money from these assets are freed up for various projects (including Argyle). This way his businesses pay not Mr Brent personally.

I do recall that he said when he took over that he would not throw money at the club, it would have to be self-sustaining - at least until a new sugar daddy comes along.

I did think we would struggle this season but I have faith that with a bit of luck the players will turn this round (we have not deserved some of the results that have gone against us).

 

No sugar daddy owners at Argyle ever, thank you. Football clubs simply eat money. Anyone stupid enough to sink money into a football club when there is no likelihood of getting it back is clearly unsuitable to run a business of any kind,
