Phew thank goodness that’s over. In the end a point won given the intense pressure from Rovers after half time. Nobody sent off either in a hostile atmosphere.
Having been 2-0 up at H/T...only getting a draw seems disappointing.....but I expect most of us would have accepted a point before the match away from home.....against an inform Rovers. Although we have a stronger squad this season...we still found ourselves having three youngsters on the bench. Six missing first team players today. 1.....James Bolton....been a long term injury. 2.....Macauley Gillesphey....has been out for at least six games with a calf injury. 3.....Danny Mayor... also out for about four weeks 4.....Mickel Miller....was a major transfer target....injured during pre-season....has not started yet. 5.....Sam Cosgrove... didn't travel ?....picked up a tight calf muscle. 6.....Dan Scarr...just served his second of three missed games because of a straight red. Okay sounds like looking for an excuse.....but our squad isn't big ...so six unavailable players become noticeable.
And Mumba only one yellow away from a suspension… and looks likely to get one every time he plays. It’s not that he’s a dirty player, just young and rash… and at times silly.
Had to go a bit wrong sometime but this wasn't a disaster go wrong so nothing terrible. We need to bounce back on Tuesday now and keep the home fires burning strong for as long as possible. Shrewsbury haven't been duffers of late either. Onwards we move.
We now have rain at last...the forest fire smoke is gone..hard to get up at 6.30am as it was cold. Two beautiful goals by Argyle got my attention.. We had to work hard for the point. A fair result i thought. Shall i put the heat on..?
I haven't put our heating on yet. Her in doors has still got a couple of vests and cardies she can put on. Don't want to spoil her.
