VAR

Amazing use today. VAR manages to award a penalty to the French that even the Ref had trouble making up his mind over when he saw it. Yet, when it came to a blatant dive for a free kick just outside the area for the French the VAR people didn't notice Griesman wasn't remotely touched when he threw himself to the ground. VAR use is only good when it's consistent and in this World Cup it hasn't been. Either use it properly or throw it out but you cannot have it only used part time. Personally I'd scrap it and let us just blame the Referee like we always have..

 

They didn't use it when Pogba rugby tackled one of the Croatians during a corner either, which was a definite penalty.
