That's NOT THE REALITY. He cannot remain an Arsenal player? ..of course he can. People change their minds all the time. Wayne Rooney is just one example.
i can't see it,if he does then there will be no transfer fee for him, would the Arsenal board let that happen?
They say that he will see out his contract just so they improve their bargaining power so they can sell him for more.
Absolutely, remember Flamini? The thing is Wenger wants to keep him while the board are probably keen to cash in. Be interesting to see who wins out. Hypethetical situation but.. if we keep him and come December/Jan are top of the league - who knows he may decide to sign a new contract afterall.
Behave, if wenger and arsenal wanted they could keep him for a year and play him in the reserves, it highly unlikely, but he would have no choice in the matter as he is under contract, unless he did a tevez. Part of me want this to happen just to prove to these jumped up money grabber that they can't just do what they want.
I may be in a minority, but I think Giroud/Podolski will be better for Arsenal next year than RVP would be next year. I am very happy that we don't have to rely on a repeat of last season for goals. I don't think we can get that lucky with RVP twice.
Wake up,if he stays till the end of his contract, how can they sell him for more?,he will be a free transfer
I think this is a reason why the club have received no offers yet. One full season of football in 8 doesn't inspire confidence in a players injury record. Obviously he's an incredibly talented player but will clubs want to fork out a lot of money on him on top of the astronomical wages he'll no doubt demand only to see him on the injury table?
That's what is going massively in Arsenal's favour. Fabregas & Nasri, and even Clichy, were young enough to move and have years left, and although Fab has dodgy hamstrings, he's been a star for years now. The lack of interest in vP from Barca, Real, and even PSG, Munich etc. means the chances of him going are greatly reduced. He's come out and said he's not happy and won't sign a new contract, but there doesn't seem to be a que forming to take him. Juve offered 8m allegedly...that's about the scale of it right now!! Without offers, he has to stay.
No, you wake up, idiot, if the board just said, "Yeah we're getting rid of him" we wouldn't be able to sell him for as much as if we said "We want to keep him!"
Wake up yourself totsfan. You are embarrasing yourself. They SAY he will stay with the intention of selling him. Thus improving their bargaining position over the next few weeks. They did the same with Nasri.
I've heard a couple of times now that the problem is down to the length of contract being offered to RVP.Apparently AFC will only offer him a 3 year deal because of his past injury problems
why would you even want him to stay. Even if it helps us in the short run why would you want such an ungrateful player in the squad. I'm actually optimistic he won't be here. ONE good season isn't payback by any means and IMO he was always leaving irrespective of who we bought.
