Great result. Smith needs to stop going too far out of the box! Vale fans seem to think our players are cheats and go down easy, I think the Vale players were as dirty as usual. Enjoyed the game and thought Hazel and Grandison were brilliant as stand ins for our usual two and Conner settled well second half. Congratulations to AJ for a great prediction!!

Sounds like Grandison did a good job today. Glad Morgan didn't get a yellow as that would've been a mare for Tuesday's game without him without the injured players too.

We outplayed Vale and 2-3 flattered them. Great character - there was a spell when Vale were flying in with tackles but we kept our heads and played the ball and no-one shirked with Arsenal in mind.

That Vale penalty shout was nonsense and it came from a corner they shouldn't have had after Goldson made a great block tackle - it came off their forward (right in front of us).

Grandison and Hazell were immense, McAllister was outstanding - great team show all round, despite the mistakes for their goals. Well done Smith for putting the mistake behind him and handling the high stuff superbly in the 2nd half and Goldson for getting better as the game went on when he wouldn't even have been on the bench if Sharps hadn't been hurt in the warm up.

I make it 17 available players for Arsenal and two of them have never played (Male and Woods). Crikey.
